I just went from d2 to p2 because of a streak of incompetent teamates; I can literally play 4 duelists, 2 vanguards and 2 strategists at a good level and usually pick last.

No lies, but I am not a one trick pony, but get paired with them all the time, and always lose. I have been paired with people that like play Jeff for 20 hours without even touching another character, and they are hardstuck, somehow the matchmaking believes that I am supposed to carry a player like that? Like how?

You need to learn a DPS to get out of lower ranks because DPS is the only class that can carry a team. Support relies on others and so do tanks but DPS can always be a win factor. You will eventually get paired with awful teammates (quite often before of the MM system) and you're not gonna carry with a support or tank. Just learn a DPS.

Good luck getting the duelist role, unless you have the fastest PC so you can pick duelist before anyone else. Competitive is 100% broken.

you can easily climb on strange and magneto if you have good enough mechanics to be that higher rank you think you belong in

Sometimes you just can't carry your teammates. But if you are good enough on certain chars, you should definitely be able to climb. I have a 90% win rate solo queue for comp, but when I play with IRL friends it goes down to 25% because they want to get drunk and "just have fun" in comp mode.

You want to hit Diamond+ just find one of the "carry Heroes" and learn 3 of them per role. OTP won't work unless you are a 6 stack, and even then you can get banned or counter picked. So get good.
