Non Stop Crashing
Marvel rivals keeps crashing my pc, worried about it breaking my pc at this point. Its the only game that ever crashes my computer. Running a 13900ks and 4090. I turned down the core ratio like it says in the guide, still get crashes. Most times my computer just goes to a black screen and turns off, but sometimes it comes up with blue screen with kernal security check failure. I like the game, but not enough to risk permanent damage to my computer every time i play it

Sounds like someone doesn't know how to set up computer correctly.

You can blame marvel rivals for this, but by the sounds of it, it's user error from not setting up or building the computer correctly.

Same, black screens every time I start it today. Never had an issue before, running on a 3090.

Limit your FPS to 125 on Medium Settings and go from there. Haven't had a crash since.

have had this computer for like 2 years. Use it every day, only time it has crashed in the past 6 months has been when I have been playing rivals

I have a 7800 XT and couldn't find a solution no matter where I looked. Reddit, Stream, and just nothing. My PC wouldn't stop crashing until after some trial and error on my own. Even on the lowest settings it would still crash. Just go to the game settings, turn off V-Sync, limit FPS to 125, and Medium Settings then work your way up if you want. The game still struggles with memory optimization and I guarantee this will work.

Hey, just a heads-up—games like Diablo 3, Diablo 4, Marvel Rivals, CS:GO, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, The Division, Overwatch, Minecraft, Fortnite, Deep Rock Galactic, and No Man's Sky have all experienced issues when running at high, uncapped frame rates. Players have reported black screen crashes and system instability when frame rates aren't properly managed. For example, users have found that capping the FPS at 60 or 30 can prevent these crashes. Additionally, enabling V-Sync can help synchronize the game's frame rate with your monitor's refresh rate, reducing the risk of crashes. It's not just about performance; managing frame rates is crucial for maintaining system stability and preventing overheating. Hope this helps!

I love how one person says to turn off V-Sync and the other says to turn it on. My computer doesn't crash but the game itself does, either before starting a game or mid game. I've tried just about every fix listed on the internet and nothing works, but the amount of contradictions I see from people is hilarious. Every new page or video I visit directly contradicts the advice given from the previous. People just throw random ideas out there and *GUARANTEE* it will work, only for someone to come along and claim the exact opposite. Then NEITHER of their suggestions work lmao
Only game that crashes for me, Iv'e found various ways to mitigate it but I'm sorry can't be bothered repeating them here, since the last thread I commented with all the relevent information never got replied too. (you can make registry changes to stop your GPU crashing on TDR's for example and waiting for resync)

Guess people just rather complain eh?

my comment copied from the other thread :

I tried every fix i could find online for days, every dumb reddit thread with terrible advice i tried. Was desperate, i get to obsess over these things until its fixed.

Bios update, underclock overclock, CPU thing the devs suggest, ISLC to auto clean the ram, dlss no dlss, reflex no reflex, everything on low, medium, high and many more.... still grashed gpu dump after less than 10 games.

The only thing that stopped the crashes was rolling back drivers to 561.09, nothing else will work dont bother. Just download 561.09 from nvidia site, no need for DDU just do a custom + clean install. Fixed it.

(also seen several AMD users who claim to have fixed it rolling back their drivers)

Like I said at the top of the post it's probably user error and as you just proved.

No one is talking to you. Thousands are having this problem, if you have nothing to say, say nothing.
