It's much easier to get into rhythm if you know your teammates. When you queue with a six-figure concurrent playerbase, you're going to run into consistency challenges (esp. below Celestial 1).
So, that's what I would do to avoid that whole silly mess you're describing up there. Only a masochist would enjoy all that.
Play quick play matches until you lose then go into a ranked game and play till you lose then to QP till you lose and so on. I found my ranked win rate since doing this went up. I haven't done the math on it but I have far fewer loss streaks.
