Seasons: Going Forward

With Seasons now being 3 months possibly to increase time for making the Battle Pass. I think it's important more than ever to keep things fresh for variety of players especially a live service type of game. There does need to be Fresh content in the game to keep the hype up.


- Every Season has 1 new Theme and 1 new Battle Pass, this Season has a Dracula theme.

- Every Season releases 1 New Region with 3 New maps (Convoy, Domination, etc), 3 new Heroes, 3 new Celebration Events, 3 new Mission Events.

So breakdown,

- Every Month releases 1 New Hero,

- Every Month releases 1 New Map.

- Every Month has 1 New Mission Event (like Midnight Features.)

- Every Month releases 1 New Celebration Event, With a recurring game mode for that month, (like Fortune & Colors for Chinese New Year.
Jeff the land shark ''Splatoon like game'' for Christmas, And others on New Year, Easter, Valentines day, Halloween / All Saints Day etc.)


What else would people like to see in each new Season?

Not sure if they announced new characters for the 3rd month of the season, but if thats the plan even better for engagement! I'd like to see Nova in Golden Metallic and Silver Surfer since they are both in the Fantastic Four Franchise and also the movies coming around the corner.

OP's post depict what OP want, not what will happen.

What is officialy planned is "only" 2 new heroes and 1 new map per season (which is already quite intensive - they are Marvel heroes and there are a lot we want to see in game and play, but everything they add need to be interesting to play, which can't be done quickly, and there is a risk of bloating the game by adding too much).

Yes you're right, but also they do currently what ive mentioned Fortune & Colors event, Midnight Features event, planning to release 4 not 3 Heroes as i mentioned. They also mentioned Sanctum Sanctorum and Midtown so really the only thing they didn't mention is 1 more map for the month which imo they could do.

It would be weird and off character if next month they had no Events, no Heroes, no Maps etc. The point of Live Service is it's 'Living'.

2 heroes and 1 map per season is what is planned for future seasons.
Current season, they said it will be bigger because it's the first, so we get 4 heroes and 2+1 map (with the +1 linked to the extra mode), with the rest of that coming on the 21st.

Yeah, i think no matter how long a season is they need sufficient sustainable reoccurring monthly content or hype will drop off.
