Ranked will be really funny with this rank reset

Most of the ppl say the same thing : i have a life buddy , i'll don't dedicate my life to climb everything again every month.
I don't get how they think rank reset mid season will have good impact on the game, or how that will push ppl to try hard this much.
Why keeping ranked if the high rank players are just the ones with the most free time

They said it's so you can't just reach a certain rank then camp it forever to continue getting rewards. It sounds like every half season they're going to give out new rewards for people who reach gold and people who reach gm+. Which is a cool incentive. Everyone just loves to overreact and think it's the end of the world whenever there is any kind of change

Yeah, highly disagree with it too. It's unclear if they are doing it this season or not, they did say new seasons and moving forward but even if they do it this season I think there still like 10+ days before they do it if you go by battle pass timer?

That being said, I don't really feel motivated to grind over and over and go through insanity of plat and diamond players being sent back to gold. I rather just stomp some pubs and learn new characters at that point. Climbing out of gold was actually infuriating and I don't think I wanna do that twice a season.

You could get argument to just get to grand master before reset so you basically drop to plat... which not everyone can do that. idk if I can even do that and I have spanked grandmaster players in qp before so it's not really a solution.

Literally no one had an issue with seasonal reset, but I do not see many support this mid season freakalooo shake up for no reason.

Yeah, I have to agree with you there. I know several people in real life that will legit not wanna play ranked anymore once rank resets mid season.

Buddy just play quickplay, ranked is competitive where you compete, if you wanna compete once per year then your rank doesn't matter.

I’d recommend may e holding off a few days perhaps? Unless you go in with a premade then you should be good lol.

Agreed but it's also not once per year? Ranks reset every 3 months so every year you will drop 6 divisions 4 times. For people that do not live and breathe this game, a mid season reset is pretty demoralizing.

Like who does it help? New rewards for people that hit gold and not touch it again? I mean you could easily add new rewards in forms of skins for higher ranks and not do that mid season reset. This would make those recolors actually mean something and not be one skin that really anyone can get if they grind long enough.

A lot of people also not top 500, so many of us simply wont go beyond plat-gm, so dropping 4 ranks a month and a half after you just dropped 6 ranks just feels ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

climbing is easy, each match takes about 5 minutes to win usually, matchmaking is about 3 seconds, climbing from bronze to silver to gold to plat to diamond takes about 2 hours of game time.

Hopefully it starts to kill the game so NetEase can realize they made the wrong decision. a 10 Rank reset per season to artifically boost engagement on top of the EOMM is ridiculous

If you don't live and breathe the game then just play at the absolute end of the season and you get your reward with no drop in divisions. It really doesn't even take that long to rank up.
And the better you are you will get to your rank rather quickly.

Every single other competitive game has a system for this. It's called placement matches. Just do that instead of this reset nonsense

It would be much better if they just removed the rewards from ranked than did that.

Rank needs to actually mean something and people need to be playing with their right ranks. If you have GM players in bronze/silver because they haven't no-lifed the game, this completely destroys bronze/silver for the actual low skill players.

Truthfully I have serious doubts about the actual fairness of the ranked mode now. I just started ranked myself, and I was a QP only player with ~100 hours in the game who usually faced off against plat/diamond. You know what the games were like in Bronze 3? They were extremely similar - it felt like I was playing against the same plat/diamond level players. It absolutely did not feel like I was playing against the weakest players the game has - I remember really weak players from having a new account and this wasn't it. And there was a lot of variation too. I saw what is probably the best BP I've seen ever in Bronze 2. I also saw the literal worst Magneto and Peni players I've ever encountered.

Let's compare to Overwatch. In OW, a bronze player is hilariously bad. A silver player is pretty bad in a dramatic way. A gold player is mediocre, maybe sort of able to play a little bit. Plat players are mostly functional.

In Rivals, rank means nothing below GM. A bronze 3 player can be a murder machine because they're great but haven't tried comp. A diamond player can just have ground a lot to get there. So you can have a Bronze 3 player that's better than a Diamond player. That's just stupid, and will make nobody care about ranks.
