You thought you have finally managed to escape bronze-silver-gold hell? Welcome back!
- Give hard stuck players a feeling of "advancing in ranks" again. (Which seems rather dummy, because many will likely just get mad due having been Peni web-ported back to the spawn room.)
- Give players a chance to advance and be re-evaluated again. (If you cannot beat players in your own rank, why should you deserve a higher rank than them? So maybe back to the spawn is where you belong.)
- Potentially reduce queue time to bring players closer to the mud tier ranks, etc.
Predictable issue is that people who used to be rank X will start to cry that their new reduced rank Y is full of bad players. That's because they'll think they still deserve that higher X rank, but in reality their new lower Y rank is filled with exactly same level X rank players than their old X rank used to be, so your new Y rank is same than old X, as they all came down with you to the rank Y. That new rank X will be filled with people who always were much better than you when you still used to be old rank X.
Boosted people will always complain regardless of their ranks, now they will direct their complains at lower rank people that did not ask for this at all. Just feels extremely unnecessary
