Marvel Rivals Has An Official Body Count Now
Today Paladins and Smite ended live support after only two months of getting bodied by Marvel Rivals. The company also laid off 30 developers who worked on these two games.

I'm not necessarily happy about this, but to be fair Paladins didn't offer a single thing that made it competitive.

Personally, I think Dead-lock will be the next game that gets added to the Marvel Rivals body count. I know it's still in alpha or whatever, but numbers are dropping off a cliff for that boring af game.

Man, these DEI devs really need to wake up and get their acts together cause China is taking over the game industry fast.

they ended support for smite 1 because they made smite 2. smite is a fantastic game just too complicated for average marvel rivals players

Haven't Smite devs just moved everything to Smite 2?
Paladins has been on life support for years.

I hope so, but they prolly have too many pronoun whales propping the game up for it to truly die.

That's ironic, coming from him.

I swear you DEI people will say any game that's doing badly is because of DEI, and any game that's doing well is because it doesn't have DEI. The actual merits of the game, or whether it has DEI (nearly all don't) don't matter at all.

Instead of hiring based on merit only if you hire based on some other factor that is going to reduce the quality of employees you get:

True or false?

If your answer is false there ya go.

You might get hired on by Whacktivision. 🤡

Well, if you're talking about Blizzard, they were notorious for being sexist as hell in the workplace and there was a huge scandal, so that's kind of the opposite of DEI.

The real thing that's ruining game development in the US is the way companies lay poeple off constantly, virtually guaranteeing teams are staffed by beginners with no experience or at the very least have no cohesion.

Imagine a sports team if you fired everyone every season and brought on a complete new team of freshmen. They'd be trash, right?

Bobby offered to hire as many developers as necessary to finish PVE, but the Joeverwatch developers refused for "cultural" reasons.

This was documented in a book by a former employee.

And....how did that turn out for them?

Btw, the only reason Whacktivision is staffed by beginners is because instead of hiring based on work experience or talent they hire based on an "inclusion score" detailed here:

https://www.activision.com/company/diversity-equity-inclusion

This ^^^ is why Joeverwatch and Cow-a-dooty are getting a rainbow farting unicorn and a toothless lady in a brown coat shoved up their buttholes sideways right now losing over half of their player bases to this game in two months.

People who think DEI is a catch all phrase for anything going under is hilarious. did ya'll coin this term because of the dumb excuse it was used for the plane crashes?

Deadlock is by far the most miserable game I have ever played. The first week of alpha was fine but now there are sweats, you're a punching bag, and there's literally nothing you can do but take the punches through months of practicing. I really don't see it being a trending game like this cape crap.

Dead-lock is the next DEI slop to get added to the Marvel Rivals body count.

You heard it here first.
