x3 Strategists Isn't Good (proof inside)
Everyone keeps talking about this fail comp that has less than a 50% win rate across all skill levels.

Cognitive dissonance incoming:

https://rivalsmeta.com/team-comps

This comp sucks. It isn't good. Everytime I see this comp it gets demolished.

The only time it's sort of good is on defense to stall on a cart map.

Yes, the strategist ultimates last too long and it's almost 100% certain that they will get nerfed in the mid season balance patch.

There's no need to be massive drama queens about it.

Yes, it's annoying, but to say this equates to GOATs meta is just a bunch of Overwatch dweebs projecting their fail AF game onto us. Their game cannot even function without role queue since open queue for them defaults into stacking tanks and healers. In our game 2/2/2 is the dominate comp.

So don't listen to all these beta dorks on some whack psy-op trying to push the narrative that the "honeymoon phase" is over.

Marvel Rivals is on a way better balance footing in 2 months than Joeverwatch in 8 years and the stats prove that. Not to mention we get content at double the rate.

Plus our devs are not a bunch of DEI hires that don't know what they are doing and play their game at a silver level at best. Our devs are good at the game and know wtf they are doing.

It'll get fixed in the mid season patch in like a week or two when we get two more characters so everybody chill and stop running this fail comp that sucks. You just look like a noob when you run this.

It's also an unfun comp to both run and play into.

That's it. It's just annoying and slows the game down.

When my team tries to run it I cringe because it fails more often than it works.

When the enemy team runs it I'm happy for the free SR, but it sucks to wait out all those ultimates.

What triple strategist does prove is people just don't know wtf they are talking about half the time when they talk about what is and isn't meta.

Sometimes a certain comp is the flavor of the month, but that does not mean it gives you any kind of statistical advantage.

It's just a bunch of scrubs from Overwatch trying to turn everything into some high sustain GOATs comp cause that's what they are used to playing.

It shows that Overwatch players aren't as good as what they think they are. They try the cheese that works in that game here and it gets smashed by 2/2/2 or even 1/3/2.

The win rates clearly show that is the case.
Do people who think comps are static even play this game??

The whole point is that comps are dynamic, it's extremely common in high rank (I'm celestial right now) to switch comps mid game, especially because ult carries over so people switch to characters with better ults after getting ult built on a different one

Like seriously I think low rankers are playing a different game, acting like the character and comp they choose at start has to go entire game.

Like I said, it's just a bunch of Joeverwatch pronouns coming over here projecting their trash game onto us when our game has balance between the roles and the data proves that.

I love when someone else tells me what I have and don't have fun with.

Just say you don't enjoy it, don't generalize for everyone.

It might not be the highest winrate comp but it sure as hell is one of the most played comps in high elo :)

The third most played comp and it isn't even good.

Overwatch pronouns need to take their garbage sustain comps back to their own game.

Its still a relatively annoying strat to play against and its fairly common in high elo. Thats what i said and i stand by it.

That will get nerfed in like 10 days because Netease hires based on merit and knows how to balance their own game.
they need a character that can break on-going ults in the same way wolverine shuts down comps that are trying to run too many tanks. A character with the ability to silence enemies would work perfectly.

You sure about that? Well, cant wait to see it nerfed. Having 3 vs 3 strategists is the most boring gameplay ive had yet. Its just a tug of war between people that try to "counter" their ults against each other the most effectively and then proceed to defend/push.

This.

But I think more likely we just see Luna and Cloak ult get the nerf hammer on that mid season patch.
It's still a problem as it's incredibly boring to play against as there's nothing to do but wait out the giant aoe healing ults without specific ult lineups like Groot or Moon Knight.
However, I would say that triple support is also genuinely broken, but it requires a specific team comp of the supports being Luna Snow, Mantis, and Adam Warlock. Adam Warlock is the one that makes the triple support comp genuinely broken as his one weakness is downtime, which is easily covered by the other two supports. And then there's the revive team up with Mantis, making it really hard to get picks.
The reason why triple support is so prevalent is because people crutch on triple funny invincibility button presses. It's not even good in practice outside of ults.

Honestly I'm not even sure it's the invincibility button presses. I've seen people run 3 supports with Loki, Jeff, Rocket, or Adam.

I think there's a lot to be said for Mantis+Adam+Rocket, as they can make a team where two supports have almost DPS grade damage, 2 supports have extra lives, one support has an extra life for everyone, and then you have Warlock's revive on top of that.

Rocket is also often used to upgrade your Punisher or Bucky.
