Will rivals ever improve the optimisation??
sooo is the company ever gonna make Rivals more optimised on older computers or laptops?? my comp isn't that old and my laptop struggles ik it's not an internet issue on my part and the fact i can play more graphic intensive games without issues makes me wonder if this is more of a rivals issue.

i only mention this because this issue completely deters me from wanting to play Comp and just get my missions done then log off. the whole fps swinging back and forth at random from 60 to 400 then down again to 10 or even 0... then back up again to 60 and it'd be fine for a while then suddenly repeat.
this seems to be an even larger issue on maps llike shin-shibuya or the spider islands and now midtown.

No offence to OW2 or rivals but in this aspect this is where Overwatch actually trumps Rivals... their optimisation is *chefs kiss* absolutely perfect for new and older machines, and i really wish Rivals would follow this. (i also think doing this would probably bump up that player count too because i know a few people that physically can't even play Rivals on their PC)

Now i know people are gonna be like "UM 'SCUSE ME JUST BUY A NEW COMPUTER THEN DUHH". And all i have to say to that is... not everyone can afford that now a days... especially with the whole rent and wage issue and now the whole tariffs thing happening now, prices are gonna go up up up!!

So please i hope you guys optimise the game better for older systems

ahh you say that but i been playing a few games that have transitioned over to UE5 and my computer can still handle it so explain why i can play... a game that is much more graphic intensive than Rivals, looks beautiful and is on UE5 and i get little to 0 stutter (cept when i look at water )
so saying it's not possible is no offence, BS

Maybe i said it wrong. Let me please rephrase myself. I dont think that will be the case anytime "soon".

well i hope they can address this eventually. the reason i know this is a rivals issue is i can play games like Space marines 2 which runs on UE5 with actually 0 issues, so i know for a fact this is more of a rivals problem than MY PC problem.
Honestly, probably not, or not much.

A lot of it is probably that the game really requires a lot of resources. Destructible environments are cpu and RAM hogs. And as they add more stuff into the game, the hardware requirements will likely scale up with the current hardware of the playerbase.

This is going by previous games of this type like OW, TF2, etc. Sometimes it's improved a little bit but usually the game gets more resource intensive over time as there are more resources available and standards for graphics go up.

I blame the Strange portal
I'm not entirely sure what y'all are talking about.. I built a midrange PC 8 years ago (i7-6700k overclocked to 5ghz, GTX 1070 GPU) and it runs the game at a stable 60 except for some drops to 50-ish on the japan convoy map.
The game does seem to be pretty CPU intensive given that my old ass 1070 is never the bottleneck, so if you have an overclockable chip I'd suggest downloading openhardwaremonitor and finding the best overclock for your chip.
