Ranked ELO needs to change DESPERATELY
I played majority of ranked solo-que there are too many of the player-base in the incorrect ranks. ELO shouldn't be based solely on Win or Loss this is binary & skill isn't a boolean statement.

I am always playing the harder characters because these are typically more "Tactical minded" Wolvie/Spman/Ect Yet < 80% of my games I have a positive KD while playing. I'm constantly peeling Caps/Thors/Stranges off of healers. Magiks & co. I'm using angles but it's taking way too damn long to rank up. I'll be matched with people blatantly carried to the higher ranks.
This needs to end.
Not only is ego involved, people don't understand area denial, Peeling, damage soaking, ect.
Numerous players just run it down mid without using angles.

Why does my opinion matter? Because there HAS to be multiple players possibly in the thousands with the same experience I am facing.
I'm always having to role swap because some Cardboard player snuck into plat or higher, and I have to do their job because they can't but even if I couldn't my entire team is handicapped from jump street.

For example tonight I had a punisher who couldn't play any other character or role, and got 4k damage....... These ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are heavier than Lizzo.

What I also find interesting is when I get these players I am on a multiple game win streak just about get to a new division, and they are on a loss streak & the entire enemy team is on a win streak of 4+ games.

it's blatantly obvious the matchmaker is set to where I "should" carry these people & my opinion is these people shouldn't even be matched with me to begin with because how unforgiving it is for a solo carry to actually perform at a higher rank Plat/Diamond.

Same here—I uninstalled and came here after noticing that the general skill level remains the same from Bronze to Diamond. That was enough to see that Ranked is determined by the number of games played, not skill progression, which completely undermines the purpose of ranking.

Quickplay should focus on speed-oriented matchmaking, while Ranked should prioritize quality-oriented matchmaking. However, Marvel Rivals' Ranked mode is essentially the same as Quickplay, just with illusionary titles based on games played. The lack of balanced matches is frustrating for normal players, and a participation trophy system only appeals to kids with unhealthy attachments to rank and self-worth.

pure winrate is the only actual way to garner real competition. If you 'decide' what's good and what's not outside of winning and losing, it will always be majorly flawed.

haven't had the same experience. around gold, people already start somewhat knowing how to play, atleast more than the ranks before.

anyways, keep in mind the average person is around gold-plat, so thats where the average skill in comp lies. the skill curve between silver and plat being nearly flat, then suddenly getting steep is expected

That's the difference, Diamond one lobby that's on match history start of match three people picked melee hero's. I say "Hey guys, not saying anyone is bad but this is a bad idea, we don't have peel, nor do I personally think three melees is a wise choice. Can we please change heros?"

I get told to go F myself within the first thirty seconds for saying this verbatim like this.

This is my point, it's entirely RNG if you rank up or not because of WHO you get matched with not that Division skill or "Player skill curve" actually exists naturally like in other games on the competitive scene which is what ranked SHOULD be.

Incorrect, let me explain why because if I'm competent enough not to feed ults, commit take downs, block damage or heal based on the people I'm matched against regardless of a loss this inherently means I'm placed in a correct rank against equally skilled competition.

But if I get blown out twenty games in a row go negative KD with 8k dmg, no heals, 2k damage blocked but the other-players are able to cover my lack of input you're saying I deserve to be Eternity?

To expand on this idea further, I'm sure we've all had ONE healer that says BUT I HEALED "100K!", and what he had done is consistently top off just the tanks, while neglecting the entire team causing a LOSS.

At a certain point in skill level naturally the game SHOULD place this guy at the proper bracket (Gold) with like minded players until they realize the error they are committing. But instead this guy can be carried into the higher ranks of Diamond based on RNG if he consistently gets GM/eternity skill level Teammates.

The result? He commits ELO terrorism to every player he gets matched with on his way back down once he's too Heavy to carry against the other enemy healers until another string of very competent players to get more W's than L's.
