I love crashing at the start of a ranked match

I love having my video drivers crash even though I've updated them twice since I started playing.

I love being penalized.

it actually crashed *so hard* the game literally wont start up again. It's not in the processes. It's actually this crashed.
I would be legit really mad if it wasn't such a rare occurance.

AMD CPU or GPU? I'm on AMD CPU and GPU and it crashes a lot for me (playing on Linux, its officially supported). If it crashes, then I have to restart the PC and quickly login back to play the game session. If I'm too late, then I get penalty. It happened multiple times and penalties, that I stopped playing for the time being until this issue is sorted out. Maybe I play Quickplay only, not sure if we get penalty there too.

Yes is the answer to your question I honestly tried. but it crashed *right at the start* and then just cancelled the whole game for my team before anything could be done. Thankfully crashes are kinda rare for me. but this crash is so bad I am reinstalling the game I nuked everything from the game folder and the steam data and all that. documents everything.

Reinstalling the game does not fix a the problem with the game. Because you reinstalling the problem.

I jut got banned for 15 minutes because I crashed during a quickplay match. I stopped playing ranked at Plat it's not worth trying to get any further with the crashing. Can't even believe I made it that far with the crashing.

Used to be able to play decent the first month of release. Now I cant even load into quickplay without it crashing multiple times. By the time the shaders reload, I cant reconnect to the match and get penalized. Im lucky to play a single successful match in an hour.

I had to reinstall the game to get it to even start again. it wouldn't. there was clearly something wrong with the files. idk. but it runs again.

It maybe some recent updates. Since today I had more than 10 games in row in one sitting (Quick Play and Competitive) without any crash. Played it later again without crash. WIll play it after this message too. I don't experience crashes anymore.

There was a small update and a little bit bigger update of the game. Maybe they addressed it, but its unclear and can be just coincidence. If you tell me your game works too, maybe its not a coincidence? Because prior to this in recent week I deleted and reinstalled it 3 times and had still an issue. But from yesterdays crashes, to today, everything changed magically. Game is stable for me right now.

So in short your reinstall might have cured your problem, or its really the updates (which cured my crash problem I assume). I wish you good luck and fun. We can only hope at the moment. And sorry for writing entire books as a reply, I'm just so happy. :-) Edit: Forgot to mention, when the game crashed for me, I just had to restart my operating system. I assume there are some blocking files that doesn't get deleted automatically in Windows, but it does in Linux.

idk. The crashes for me are pretty uncommon. Maybe one in every 30 matches about now. Some people are wayyy worse off. they just gotta fix it.

Well, I was one of those who had it the worst. Sometimes game hang and crash my entire system (need to power off system with button) in first match, sometimes after second or third. This started to be a real problem and got to this state maybe about 2 weeks ago.

However, since today, I had 0 crash or issue. Even after playing for hours. And well, you know there was new updates, so this might have fixed it.
