(SOLVED) NEED HELP WITH GPU AND CPU UNDER UTILIZATION
Just got my new gpu 4070 super and the game only runs at 50 to 70% gpu usage and for the cpu which is a R7 5700x running at 50 to 60% usage... ive been searching up online for a fix but non found at all on youtuber reddit etc~

I wondered if its a cpu gpu bottleneck so I tried playing Doom Eternal and yet the game ran just fine at 95% gpu utilization and 50 to 70% cpu usage averaging 500+ fps at ultra settings no RT.

If anyone has a fix then please lemme know

What sort of settings do you have on for Rivals? Perhaps it doesnt need to use 100% of your CPU and/or GPU?

1080p
DLSS Quality
uncapped Frames
SSGI
Screen Space Reflections
High
Low
Medium
High
High
Low

The thing is Im getting low fps in game, 130fps in an actual match. It just doesnt make sense to me cause if its a bottleneck then my cpu should be running at high usage

because that's the most your 4070s will be used on 1080p. it's a 2k-4k gpu lol

i got the same gpu and im playing on 1440p 180-200+ fps with higher settings

yes I know the 4070s is best used on 1440p resolution but still, I dont understand how my fps is so damn low

GPUs don't render the individual pixels until at the very end of each cycle. many calculations come first that are unaffected by resolution and if those calculations are taking up most of the GPUs time, changing resolution will not affect FPS much. higher resolutions also put less workload on the CPU and more on the GPU.

all that is to say you should probably switch to 1440p if you want your system to go all out.

as for your original post:
have you checked your temperatures? are you playing on a laptop? is your memory fast enough and are you using the right XMP profile? can your motherboard keep up with the memory, GPU and CPU speed? is your PSU pushing out enough power? is your CPU using all of its cores? is it hitting its TDP limit?

everything looks fine GPU wise. you have the latest driver, it's not overheating after 3 minutes of stress-testing, frametime is nice and even, it's drawing the right amount of power and being used 100%. from what i can see, your GPU is not the problem.

there could be a lot of different factors, but i think the main problem is that your CPU just can't keep up with shoveling more work into the GPU. it may not be running at 100%, but the part of it that's responsible for telling your GPU what to do may be hitting max capacity.

looking at the specs of your Ryzen 5 5700X, the single thread rating is not that good. you could try to overclock it but you'll have to be careful and properly do your research on that first. otherwise, that's the most FPS you'll get.

you should, however, be able to up your resolution to 1440p without losing any FPS if i'm correct.

Yea well Id love to upgrade my cpu and monitor to 1440p but decided on upgrading the gpu so wont be able to upgrade any other parts any time soon cause its an expensive hobby... so now here I am having all these issues; The cpus already overclocked slightly and undervolted goes up to max 4850mhz.

what motherboard are you using? could be lacking behind after overclocking.
while you're at it, check how fast your memory is (can be done in task manager) and make sure it's running at the speed it's supposed to (e.g. 3600mhz and not 2444mhz)

mobo tuf gaming B450m-plus II and I only have ddr4 dual channel 32gb 3200mhz memory. Cant enable docp just manually set fclk frequency to 1600mhz

UPDATE!!!

idk why and idk how it was like magic after I launched the game and I saw my gpu usage ingame. ( well I did follow a youtube marvel rivals optimization guide and they said "marvel launcher properties enable compatibility mode" and so I switched that off and BAM!!! fixed HAHAHA . + I followed a reddit post about how to set the game to high priority by editing it in registry so that helped as well

My game now runs with 80 to 90+ gpu utilization. MY GOD ITS LIKE A HAIL MERRY I WAS SO STRESSED FOR AN ENTIRE 24 HRS!!! Moral of the story is dont trust dumbass youtubers with their OPTIMIZE! THIS AND THAT GAME GUIDES

https://imgur.com/a/ERhC4xJ shows fps and gpu usage from low 130 max to 200 and can go up to 300fps max
