What in the hell is the problem with matchmaking

Matchmaking is horrendous! every game is either a stomp or you get stomped there is rarely ever a in between close game..... like its just not fun at all. I am tired of stomping people for 2 games then getting stomped on for 2 game and repeating the cycle. Like just fix matchmaking please. Also banning cheaters is as good as giving them a spanking, bad boy don't do that again.....

It seems like this could very well be part of the design—keeping losses hopeless and wins meaningless. The issue is, if players are constantly frustrated, they’re likely to quit.
The solution, however, is to push the narrative that any issues with unbalanced matches are "skill issues", so players stay miserable but keep playing. According to the system, if they quit, they’re the ones who didn’t acquire the necessary skills.
So, you end up with heavily frustrated players staring at the menu screens, thinking, “Maybe if I buy this shiny skin, I’ll finally be happy.”

How are they pushing the narrative? By paying sane people to deny "EOMM rigged" accusations on steam discussions? That's some crazy conspiracy theory. I thought people tend to pay more when they are happy and not frustrated i.e. have equal and engaging matches. They might have the worst business model then.

Its the same way addiction works. People stick with things the more they are shamed and have negative feelings towards it, its like a drug addict or a girl in an abusive relationship for 5 years.

I get where you're coming from, but ultimately communication is the key to playing this game really well. If you spectate some Celestial-level players or something, you'll probably find it's not so much their mechanical skill that is putting them so far above the other players it's their communication and team coordination. If you're having issues with toxic players, you can always try inviting some good players to your group (you can use the social tab to see players you previously played with), and don't forget to report toxic players as well.

I just want to say this guy is on the forum replying to ever thread to do about the eomm, replying like to every comment with crazy illogical arguments and ad hom attacks. I can only believe after this long, he is getting paid to say what he says. I think he is part of the 50 cent army, which is a paid CCP group who defend china and Chinese products. This may be new to you guys but it is rampant across the internet. Its just china is more new to gaming.

Oh it's very real. They went after Paladins first even though there's internet proof that it was designed and in production before Overwatch ever existed. The CEO of the company even provided all of the evidence himself in a giant reddit thread.

As a new player honestly the matchmaking isn't making the game fun for me anymore. I was having fun the first few weeks of playing, but now there's just so much smurfs and we just get destroyed most of the time

The matchmaking system in this game is absolute and complete garbage. It's not a matter of opinion, it's a matter of fact. I mostly play quickplay and I'm beyond tired of being forced into groups with literal braindead ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who decide to go all DPS and no tanks, that don't regroup and just rush one by one to get slaughtered while the supports are running back from spawn. 1 vs 6ing enemy team. Moving behind walls where supports can't heal. Complete morons who never protect their supports when they're being dived and focused. So often I'm playing support, a flanker is attacking our second support, I heal them and save them but when I'm the one being attacked no one does anything. Not to mention the rigged system that forces you to lose games because it doesn't like it if you get "too many wins" in a row. This game is nothing but pure frustration. I'm trying to understand and find the fun in it, but it's extremely hard with the way the game is.

Someone always making excusing for this broken system as if it worked just fine. It doesn't and it's not "sometimes" this happens, it's every day in half the matches I play. I shouldn't need to go hunting for "good teammates" who knows where, the game is supposed to do that for me because it should match me with players of similar skill level and should do the same thing for the enemy team. There is no reason why one team should get all the decent players and the other team should get all the down syndrome patients.

Also, people on this forum and YouTube have proven that the game forces you to lose if you have too many wins and gives you free wins if you have too many losses.

You cant be serious about ´´people in forum´´ and youtube videos as a PROOF. There is nothing it force you to lose, you are just coping. Maybe share your IGN so we can see how you outperform your team mates and how you got your games rigged.

Tonight was so bad, I have to complain about it somewhere.

I was in a 2 man group doing comp. We get in to a game and four players go dps so we are 1-4-1. I ask for someone to go heals and the rest of the match was two of the dps cussing me out over vc. So we lose. Get this, THE FOUR DPS WERE A 4 MAN TEAM!

Very next game. One on our team asks at start for someone to go heals, this starts an argument. The rest of the match, three of the players are screaming at each other over voice chat about how much money they make and who is the bigger man. They were yelling and cussing and dogging each other, standing around afk while they yelled nonsense. All three on vc were dps so they are flying in 1v6 dying on cooldown. So we lose Get this, THEY WERE A 4 MAN TEAM! All the vc arguing was them joking with each other!

These people got to plat so they could troll us and themselves.

Is their ai eomm that decides, at least in quickplay, before the match if you win or lose. They think it can optimize player engagment through forcing win and lose paterns. Is so heavy handed you have to be blind to not see it. For me in trues it does the difference. I do not want to play anymore at all because is only frustating or boring. And i can not play ranked because the game can crash for me.

Yeah the EOMM straight killed the game for me.
