Could any one help me please TY
I am at the end of my rope for Marvel's Rival's I can't fix the massive FPS drop that freezes my character and doesn't allow me to move. I will be running just fine at 188 FPS and then (BAM!) drops to 1-FPS. I love this game and want to play but I can't deal with the 1 FPS anymore if someone doesn't know a fix it's time to uninstall. No other game I play has this drop in FPS. I was playing on ultra with Lumen GI lighting turned off and getting over 180 FPS, then the drop in FPS started and I tuned everything to low quality, but it didn't matter it still drops to 1 FPS.

My PC specs are a 12600K, RX 7900 XT, 850-Watt MSI PSU, 16 Gigs of 3200 MHz Ram, and a 2 Gig M.2 Team Group SSD.

Thank you all very much for any and all help, I've searched the internet for over a week and everything I've tried has failed. The game ran perfect since day one of download and then about a week and a half ago the drop started every match, and I can no longer play competitive (Because of the 1-FPS drop) only quick match and that is still a rage inducing moment thanks to the FPS drop.

But, I'm more surprised at the solution recommended by the dev, makes no sense. You should send them your DxDiag file.

I have an update; I finally got a reply from the developer. The solution to my problem was as simple as clicking on V-sync. No more frame drops. I am now playing on Ultra with Lumens on and getting 144 FPS solid.

EDIT........I didn't think V-sync could fix it but it played for hours with no frame drop and now it is back to dropping to 1-FPS I give up, I'm done, and I was loving the game too

Excellent. Glad to see that you got it resolved. See you out there.
Bummer, no help even from the company who made the game

i have had that happen a few times over the years and since i keep all my 90+ drivers updated at all times it all ways ended up being a failing video card.

I have the issue as well and only in this game. Randomly throughout a match the game will basically lock up for a couple seconds then start working again. Nothing has made a difference yet.
I sure hope it isn't a failing GPU, I just paid $650 for this one and while I know that isn't a lot to some it is a lot to me. I laughed when they told me to turn on V-sync, I typed that will do nothing they replied try it and let us know. I tried it and played for two hours with perfect play and I was like "Wow, how could it be V-sync that only sync the monitor to the GPU FPS" But I was happy it worked. I logged off to do some work and the first match when I logged back on it started dropping Frames back to 1 FPS. Every other game I play from Black Myth, Black Op's 6, Baldur's Gate 3 does NOT do this.

When it first started this, I checked all updates from GPU drivers, DirectX, Window's update, game update Steam update, then I lowered every setting to low and turned everything to performance, nothing worked. I'm playing on a desk top I built, not a laptop so the GPU is on and being used. Thank you to all who repied, very kind to take time out of your day for that.

Damn, that sucks! Your PC has some high specs! It should work fine.... Have you tried every setting combination in MR?

Yes, I have. I've changed every setting to the lowest and the GPU settings to performance and still it's a no go. I have no idea what else I can do. I don't think it is a GPU going out because all other games play just fine, including Midnight Sun's which is also a UE game using DirectX 12 and it plays fine too. I guess I'm just going to delete Marvel Rivals and move on, but I REALLY liked the game.

Thanks for posting.

I found the problem and fixed it. I wanted to update this so if anyone else is having FPS drop they too can get it fixed. I was playing on low settings and getting FPS drops to 0 that would lock my game up. I upgraded my Ram to 32 gigs and I am not playing on Ultra with a steady 144 FPS. This game said it only needs 16 gigs of ram but that seems to not be true.
