I need some direction on where to learn how to play Magik
Aesthetically, Magik is one of my favorite characters, but I feel like no matter what I do, I get absolutely deleted any time I try to do anything.

I was having way more success with Psylok, which seems like that shouldn't be the case because on paper she's way squishier, but even when I try to disengage with Magik, it just feels like I get annihilated.

I read a lot of ppl say watch the top players of said class it is not a bad way to start. Another way that might help is watch your own replays and see where you could of done something better. I like magik myself but prefer to support if I can.

I'm not necessarily talking about pro players. I'm just talking about decent guides. I'm never going to listen to high elo tier lists because I'm new and everyone is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at this level, so tier lists aren't really going to matter much.

I can watch replays, but if I'm not even sure if I'm comboing right or picking decent targets, it won't matter.

replays are a guide they show you how it is done. You see their tactics and how they choose targets and when to fall back. You see which buttons they press or what combos they use. And to be honest quickmatch is more diffecult then ranked. Because a lot of players trowing their lives and dont think much about the team. Its a team play not a solo game.

If you dont wanna watch replays then youtube guide where someone tells everything you need to know, would also not help much on its own.

Tips to not get stomped in matches. When over the half of your party is death: wait on each other at spawn dont run in the enemy area like chicken without a head when your just with 2 people or alone. A lot of players are not waiting on each other and keep on taking turns on deads. Most fast and easy way to get stomped and lose.

Stay together with your team,
Stay at your objective no need to stomp enemy team at their spawn… if you guys die at THEIR spawn they wil have a free objective and you lose the game.

If your stuck at spawn because enemy are stomping your team and keeping hou hostage there. 1 there are more doors then 1 sprat out a little take all differend doors. If that does not work. Switch all dpsers to tanks to be more bulky or fast characters like iron man to fly over the enemy to go back to objective in the hope you wil taunt them there to walk back to you. To create space for your team to walk out of the spawn point.

Have atleast 1 tank and 2 healers at your party. If your tank is called captain america or venum ask for a second tank. They are usually most of the time, (not always) assasin bomb divers, they dont protect the team much, they take out supporters in the back line of the enemy.
Mister fantastic can be considered a tank.

Try to get a good healthy mix between: air units, close combat, ranged attackers and anti air support.
Kill and hit every ank from moonnight, murder every squite fish from namor. And destroy all robot artifects you see from rocket and penny parker. The times i as a healer have seen dpsers and tanks getting murdered by those things when they walk by is sad.

Healers wil not heal you if they can not see you or when a wall is in between you and the supporter. That a healer heals you does not mean you have godmode. If you get hurt get out of where the flarking you are.
And dont keep standing in shooting line when getting a bit of healing.
Stay in frond of your healer and stop moving like a rabbit if you want to get healing and you are in the back line of your team. Some healers need to hit you and if you are a bunny from left to right they also cant aim properly, healing wil take longer. (I dont say you do those mistakes they are just all round tips for everyone who struggle as a reminder)

Daily reminder to protect your healers from assasins. They wil thank you with keeping you alive aswel.

The biggest challenge, in my opinion, on learning how to play Magik that replays will not make abundantly clear unless you watch a lot of them is that Magik is very fluid and adaptive. Other characters tend to be very straight forward, and you're expected to do the same things every game. Magik is not like that. Sometimes you want to frontline, sometimes you want to flank, sometimes you want to dive, and sometimes you want to cuddle with your own backline. It takes a lot of experience to know what works and when it works, and what doesn't and when it doesn't.
