Is Bucky OP?

Bucky is now the top picked DPS in the game, being part of most teams. Just curious what people think about him. Is he balanced? Is he annoying? Is he too strong?

Obviously he has a cool design, but just wondering what others thing about him, unfortunately as someone who mains him maybe I should find someone else to play if hes just been overpowered this whole time lol

if you have a good aim is really strong,with his punch/grab you can delete from this universe any spiderman who try to bully your healer and he's fun to play
but he's not OP,he's not the easy pick to grind ranked

I play DPS very rarely and never touched Winter Soldier yet, so this is coming from the perspective primarily of going against Bucky's and other DPS than of using them.

Yeah, he's really common. He might well be currently the most common pick. And he is very strong. "OP" is hard to gauge because that is entirely relative. Yeah, Bucky is very strong, but so is Storm, Psylocke, Moon Knight, Iron Man (with Gamma Team-Up), Hela, Squirrel Girl, Wolverine... those are just some that I don't think Bucky inherently outclasses, I don't see them and go, "Man, I wish they'd switch to Bucky" in the same way I get a slight sense of dread whenever I see a teammate pick Black Widow, Scarlet Witch or Spiderman (though they sometimes surprise me even with those).

I think Bucky's popularity is from a lot of factors. He got some important buffs in S1, and since he was already strong in S0 that got a lot of eyes on him. He's got a cool character design. His kit is pretty simple to use and understand, and is useful in a very wide variety of situations, he's one of those characters that is virtually never a bad pick against any comp. He has probably one of the most maximally-dopamine-inducing-capable ults with how he can just completely pop off and go on a murder spree. His team-up with Rocket (who has become a very popular Support) is incredibly strong.

He has a dash, plus his ult has a great range and can be used a lot of times. My opinion.

Your opinion is wrong. The dash has a long CD and is only 1 dash. His ult also won't be ready frequently and is one of the wonkiest things to aim.

Nope, he's just the easiest to steal kills with so people that don't understand the game can talk about their "EMVEEPEE" and kills.

I was playing with one of the worst Winter Soldiers the other day, my friend and I(both vanguards) had to switch chars and how we played our roles so we could do all the damage. Of course at the end of the game he thought he was amazing 'cause he 'secured' all our kills with his ult which we would have gotten anyway.

His dash shouldn't be used as a movement tool, unless you're in a dire situation, Even then you'll probably still die as it doesn't go very far, Has no vertical movement. Its supposed to be an engagement/combo tool after all.

Bucky is pretty good. But as far as picks go. There's quite a few other DPS I'd rather have on my team first that can fill the role of a flexible /Midline/ hero, if It where my choice, Unless, Say the Bucky in question is really, really good. Like Storm, Namor or Moonknight.

Bucky is strong, but only strong in the right hands.
Whenever I see an enemy Groot I would love the Bucky player to swap to Punisher so we can destroy the Groot walls that get set up like a Fortnite fortress constantly.
