if you win, your team was better or you carried them to victory.
Wins and losses are not random, one of the teams is having victory whilst the other one is having defeat.
you can have teammates that are burdens, but so will the enemy team.
I would never go comp, so not an issue here
so u denie the existence of EOMM?
IN quick match? No. In Competitive? absolutely Yes. Think for a second op, there are no bots, a lot of people worked just as hard as you to get to the Rank range where you are matched.
people are not always playing their best, people make mistakes. Sometimes people are moody and have a defeatist attitude.
To blame all your woes and losses on EOMM is at least naive of you.
who said i blame all my losses on eomm , i just stated that each time i come near gm , i get a pattern of massive loss streaks ranging from 5-10 games , and that happend 3-4 times , u start to recognize patterns , it doesnt matter how good u are , u get such gapped mismatched teams that its impossible to win , u ever see a whole team with 0/6 at start of game ?
back on overwatch 2, EOMM would match players on loss streaks (heavy burden players) with people that were on win streaks (carries).
See if the teammates you were match with had loss streaks, this could be the same situation.

Losing or winning 3-9 games in a row isn't unexpected if the wins were determined by complete random chance.
You're trying to find a pattern in the win & loss streaks then using it to blame the game for rigging it.
It's like flipping 7 tails in a row & saying God is rigging it so you lose.
Making you lose several games in a row makes people feel bad. That's not part of the EOMM.
The EOMM involves the points system. You earn more points than you lose & you have a shield for every 3 losses.
The points system is designed to make it so everyone can get a high rank. It's a progression system, not a rank system.
Anyone can rank up easily with a 50% win rate as long as they keep playing the game.
A 50% win rate is completely normal for a ranked system that puts you against people on an equivalent skill level.
They reset the ranks every season because everyone would end up with extremely high ranks if they didn't reset them.
They most likely have a separate ranking system behind the scenes that you don't see. This ranking system is designed to be as fair as possible & should result in a 50% win rate.
The points system that you see on your end is a separate system that's designed to make you feel good by believing you are progressing.
EOMM isn't designed to keep you HAPPY: It's designed to keep you ENGAGED. The best way to climb is to have several accounts. Lose on one? Get on another, if you plan on long sessions. Otherwise, ALWAYS quit on a loss, NEVER quit on a win. Specially if your stats are good it's not even subtle that the game assigns you as a "Carry player" of sorts and matches you with "Need carry" players who often will not just be terrible, but also extremely toxic.
It's not a coin flip, it's a weighted coinflip. You can do SOME stuff to influence it, but in the end, all the top levels aren't that much better than your average Diamond. Sure, they usually play more characters, but on your main, if you're good, you're not gonna see any sort of big difference between Diamond and Eternity. All elos are pretty much bronze, just with more of an ego.
It really brings into question why play at all when it's this rigged. If you're expecting a fair match, you're not getting it. And if it's not a fair match, who the hell cares whether you win or lose since it's just coinflips. "I'm sick at coinflips, I coinflipped myself up to one above all" isn't a particularly hard flex. It seems like you just wasted a TON of time... Which the system is designed to have you do. It does work.
I understand that it's a little different and DPS usually carries more weight than Tank or Support, but still, that's one out of three entire roles... Everyone else can only fill, hope for the best, and then get called boosted anyway, which isn't even wrong, because NOBODY has the same impact DPS has.
OW have been using a streak system since it's inception, the general thing about their system is that SR will be, or at least was, scaled accordingly where you would gain more for being a "carry".. .meaning you would get to your predicted rank quickly if you were consistent. (which is why you have gm and top500 players going from bronze to gm within 40-45 games... this doesn't happen in rivals unless they are stacking and maintaining a near 100% winrate)
Rivals system will quite literally set you on the path of a win streak, where the majority of your team are on a win streak.. to then force you into a losing streak, where the majority of your team are on a losing streak.. you seemingly gain nothing out of the ordinary from winning these games.
It's so palpable that you can see and hear the difference IMMEDIETLY in voice/chat as teams go from pleasant and communicative for several matches in a row, to toxic and abusive for several matches in a row.
You then go into tracker.gg and extend your entire competitive match history, and lo and behold you see streaks of 3-4 extremely one sided wins, 3-4 extremely one sided losses, to 2 games that are seemingly up in the air (i.e they can be close games, or one sided loss/win.. literally a 50/50).
In every single streak there is one constant... losing teams have nothing but people on losing streaks, or people who are BEGINNING a losing streak (check back in their history a while after the match is played, they will continue to lose for X amount of games).
To then vice versa for win streaks, where every player is on a win streak or have just begun a win streak.
This is entirely "fair" from a "moral" standpoint as everyone gets their allotted wins and losses, if your good enough you can probably sway most of these losses but they are still stacked against them. (which is evident in the fact that you can see games going from 3-4 one sided wins, to then 3-4 extremely close games).
Should also be mentioned.. if your a player that is losing CONSTANTLY it is very much an indication that you are NOT very good at all and are more than likely causing losses (this is incredibly common among players who refuse to play anything but DPS and refuse to even acknowledge that they are nowhere near consistent enough to get enough kills even as low as bronze).
I wouldn't even mind all of this if it was clearly stated by the game and that you actually gained something extra (e.g less of a LP loss, or more for a win).. but they don't.
All of this is EXTREMELY clear up till about diamond where this starts to taper off and LP distribution gets closer to a 1:1 for wins and losses, meaning player consistency will filter out players in the higher ranks.. this also means anything between bronze and diamond/gm is going to be a crapshoot in terms of the quality of players as TIME PLAYED is heavily favoured in how far they get up in the ranks.
It's also why i can't help laugh about people complaining about losing games in diamond and above as they all fail to mention that the games they lose are mostly CLOSELY CONTESTED MATCHES (even in the case of a 1-0 / 3-0 game small mistakes will cost you a game.. (this happens even in eternity/celestial/OAA ffs)...
It is what happens when teams are equal.
With that said, within roughly 100-150 games you need roughly a 32-35% to go from bronze to gold, 42-45% to go from gold to diamond, after that you need +50% .. now consider average match time in under diamond is roughly between 5-7 minutes (most wins/losses are EXTREMELY ONE SIDED)... meaning most players need less than 8-9 hours of playtime to do this by just spamming ranked games. (i.e carrot on a stick)
You can complain about OW's matchmaking and how frustrating that can be, but it is nowhere near as egregious as rivals.
...with them i would at least have a Chance + Fun !!
Instead of with, what EOMM assigns me for a guaranteed Defeats.
