The most important thing to remember when using her ultimate is to always always have your spider nest placed before starting the ultimate and keep the nest linked to where you're running around during ult. The spider mines the nest creates will follow the pathway of webs you generate during the ultimate.

According to CringeAlarm (one of the best Peni players) one of the best usages for it is to use it after enemy invis woman ults. Then you layer up her entire ultimate AoE with the webs, potentially leading to kills when her ult ends since yours lasts longer.

It's not a great ult, though. If you're halfway decent on Peni, you're more valuable to your team not being in ult than when you are. Where you can actually set up OHKO traps, lob mines into the backline, put pressure on with your left click shooting, and be ready to counter stuff with your web snare.

left click seems to be good at pushing people out of your way or into the web as you run around so you don't stop moving.

Do you own a cat? If you do... Ever had your cat startled by something and have them run around in panic? That is how you use Peni's ult.

First, you drop the Spider Nest somewhere relatively safe. Or at least out of direct enemy fire for it to survive while your ult lasts. Then, you start the ult right on your Nest's web. Just so those little spider-drones from the nest actually follow you through the webs you drop under your feet with almsot every step and over towards the enemy, when you run into them. Because yes, you run into the enemy or at least - for example - around the payload/capture point to spread your webs all around and deal damage thanks to it being connected to the Nest.

As for Left click(Melee) vs Right click(Mine)... Forget Left click exists. It only deals 60 damage and to ONE target at a time, even if the enemies are literally next to each other. And it has a longer cooldown(1s left click CD vs 0.7s on the right-click). Meanwhile Right click drops your regular mine, which not only deals 100 damage instead (which is - duh - 40dmg more than melee hit), but also can hit multiple targets at the same time.

PLUS!!! Remember Peni's other mechanic. Mines dropped on any of her Webs become invisible and invulnerable until either stepped on OR the web is gone (at which point they become visible and vulnerable, ofc). And... Since during ult you are spreading webs with each step, you definitely want to look mostly downwards and drop those mines into the webs. For even extra damage to people who happen to step onto your webs during your ult and running around - because somewhere among that abrupt web chaos there can be hidden mines too. Hidden and invulnerable to AOE/ults, as they are on those webs of yours.

Sure, the webs will go away, once the ult is done (not the mines - they stay), but... While it lasts? Extra damage and extra chaos! Scarlet Witch and her "pure chaos" voiceline during ult? Pheh. Peni is the ultimate hero of chaos. ABRUPT chaos! \o/
