If Marvel Rivals had a "Brigitte" Charrcater in the mix, tha would be....

First time poster on the forums and a marvel Rivals player (kind of).

But everyone knows the history of another certain game , and tht of course is Overwatch (and it's sequel) , but it got me to thinking.. Why do People hate Overwatch /OW2? The answer revovles around one character, namely "Briggite". After all It was Brigitte who broke the paly style of Overwatch (and Overwatch 2). A bit of both Offensive and Defensive, yo ucould say that Briggite was a minor "Tank" and could deal out damage (A mace to the face kind of situation, but she could also through up a shielf much like Reihhardt.. But I digress...

So it got me to thinking.. If Marvel Rivals put this one in, who would it be in the Marvel Universe? and then It dawned on me... and in fact she's an X-man back in the 1970's and 1980's and yet she could be a sort of Briggite type character.. And I'd Like to Introude you to her...

Meet, Katherine Anne, "Kitty " Pryde.. better known by her does names of either "Sprite" or her more well known code name "ShadowCat."

First appearance was way back in 1979 (Some 46 years ago) in X men Issue 129. An dshe's part of the X-Men group from Earth 616 (Primed marvel Earth), and she has a couple of intersting powers..

Now kitty is sory of One part Iron Fist, One part Magick, as she is a Martial Arts, Master, as well as a master swordswoman.. So if you had her in a toe to toe battle with Magic whe would be a threat to the melle types like Magic.. (but then ) she would be also able to do something that would be a bit of a weakness as well. and one of them would be part of her ability to become Intqagible and be able to phase through walls, especially the indestructible ones..(and this could be used as a weakness as if she could be seen phasing though, the wall would be destoryed, and well, so would kitty.. But if she was able to phase thugh any wall...and if it were indestructible, well then she could easily slip behind the back rows and do a bit of assassination with either her martial arts or her martial arts, sword play.. Very Dangerous if used properly...

And not even iron man would be safe from her.. (Why? It's the ability to travel though the air by Projecting force disks of sorts, but it would be at a high mental cost.. But if done right, she could sneak up behind a flying iron man and jump right though his suit..

(Oh and she is a comptuer expert so phasing thugh an Iron Man suit wou;ld be like Childs play shorting out Iron Man's flight capabilities and thus taking hi to the gorund..(it wouldn't be as Easy with storm, but any tecnno flyers like Starlod or Iron man would be a high Pirority raget for this girl..

Now she does have weakness though, and thos ewould be magic (which means people like Dr. Strange and Scarlett Witch, could easily make her dead in a heart beat..

Now while this is kind of balanced, This also would make Kitty another potentially OP Character.. After all, Kitty is now a fully grown woman,

Long story short, Kitty could be either a Duelist or a Strategist.. (Though I am thinking more of a duelist as she has no real benefit to those who are support/healers.. But the Duelist angle? She is a natureal...

Just my thughts on this... But I'd like to hear other players feedback.. and if there's enough comments maybe we can keep her from becoming the next Briggite..

Why would Shadowcat be like Brigitte? I don't envision her playing like Brigitte at all.

I'd imagine her being able to phase through terrain would make her more of a flanker and hit and run type duelist. Maybe even able to phase into the ground and move around to be especially slippery.

Basically a duelist that would die quickly but be very hard to pin down. Which is pretty much the polar opposite of how Brigitte plays.

I'm trying to think of a marvel hero that would be more analogous to Brigitte, but it's tough since you'd have to take some liberties with their powers so that they're healing other people/themselves while they're smacking people with their melee weapon. Maybe Valkyrie? Shang Chi? Taskmaster? Silver Samurai? Any of those make more sense to be like Brigitte than Shadowcat.
