Psylocke's new outfit criticism and why mods need to return
Honestly, I get why they dont want mods to come because they are afraid it will ruin their business model. But then you get Psylocke's new outfit which is ruined by her being too covered up. The skirt is way too long and the breasts are too covered up. Same issue I have with the base skin she has. They could have gone the Ninja Gaiden or MK9 route if they wanted to have her have the ninja theme, but they didnt do that.

This is where mods come into play. Allow us to modify the model or mesh the way we want. It still requires us to buy skins, so they arent losing money. Also, the mod is only visible client side, meaning everyone else sees the default outfit.

If they really want to get rid of mods, then they have to step up their game because this is going to kill the game.

Dude, mods WOULD kill the game. This is a free game, every character is available for free. They're banking on cosmetics alone. Just because you can't see her naked that doesn't mean the game is going to die. Lmao

Not true. Certain mods depends on purchasable costumes because each one has a different base model. Furthermore, mods are only visible client-side. So this argument doesnt hold weight in the slightest.

Why would anyone buy cosmetics if people can just install mods for free? Answer me that. Even if other people can't see it and only you can. That's less money they'd make, cuz you wouldn't buy cosmetics to see characters naked or as some anime or movie character.

So yeah, Mods would kill this game if they let them be easily accessible or available.

Again, this simply isnt true. Furthermore, if certain skins were better made like the recent Psylocke one, then people would have less of an incentive to use mods. So the fault lies within the devs for overlooking what the core audience wants.

They will never allow mods. If people find a way to mod, they'll just delete it next patch, over and over. People will never buy cosmetics and instead choose to play as Batman or something.

Yeah we need more erotic skins. Not outright nude because it loses the sex appeal, you need to hide some parts for more satisfaction. Real women take note.

And as long as they continue to under-deliver with skins, the demand for mods will continue to grow which means more modders will persist with finding loopholes and work-arounds every single patch. This could be remedied if devs can take advice and add things that the people want.
They're not gonna allow mods. I do not see them ever backing down on that. No matter how much you yell, their financial projections will always be louder.
I really like Psylocke's new leg strap and pure skin. Its sexy and classy at the same time. Might have to buy it and play her myself 😎
