When you don't use a character's kit to 100%, you're wasted space.
Absolutely. In fact, I've started to report any healers that does this. I doubt they get banned for it, but it's absolutely throwing. Supports in Marvel are better than in Overwatch and everyone wants to play them because they can actually do great damage. Teams NEED that extra bit. They need healers that defend themselves.
The game itself is fun, but its filled with miserable people who are never satisfied. Y'all are shining examples of this.
It's the internet. If you expect everyone to be nice, you need more happy pills.
Also, I've NEVER heard someone complain to a healer to deal more damage. You're just making a claim for the sake of an argument you don't have.
The game is fun, but it's filled with people who exclaim 'Fun first!' when their actions tend to lean more towards throwing than 'fun'.
It's a competitive game. Winning is the goal. Winning is fun. If you are purposefully playing in a manner that hinders your team - not playing your character 100% - you're throwing and deserve a ban.
You want healers to damage. And then there comes the other smarta** and is sick of healers damaging and not healing.
Beat each other about that issue
THIS!
It's the internet and online gaming. If you expect everyone to play like you want, you need more chill pills.
Dude!! Literally this entire thread is about that. OP complaining exactly about that. You don't even have to move your eyes or fingers to have the 1st example
This allows for an extra of the other character types which allow for significantly more damage to be done.
I usually can support an entire team alone and quite easily as a single rocket with no other healers cuz of aoe healing.
And finally, rockets ultimate allows for everyone else to do significant damage to the point where the rocket doesnt even need to chip in (unless everyone is fully healed)
He also has one of the best winrates of all the heroes currently.
Cloak and Luna are the only better options, maybe an argument can be made for invisible woman too but a good rocket will always outperform a good invis woman.
Luna is almost always banned and i've seen people start to ban cloak too which gives even more creedance to raccoon. His beacon is underrated AF, you can trade 1 for 1 and still come out winning because of the res.
His heals aren't as fast but he can constantly shower his team in orbs and if rocket knows what hes doing he's aiming to maximize the time the orbs spend near allies. He also has infinite range so it's really helpful in dive comps or comps with flyers (Iron Man, Storm, etc)
His ult is also a huge equalizer when you're struggling to finish off kills and if timed right/placed correctly can almost always result in a winning fight.
His biggest strengths are probably within the triple support comp, and while pocketing a punisher (or bucky but infinite ammo works better with punisher).
I reached GM using only raccoon in the first week of the season on my main, essentially playing against Eternity and GM players from season 0 (I was plat 2 season 0 because I started playing a couple of days before season 1 started). I'm currently diamond 1 on my smurf using C&D only because I kept getting called a raccoon one trick lol
Rockets damage is pitiful if they’re not close to you though.
If I had the power to ban, I'd try and remind people that the best experience is in ranked. If people are griefing, report them. If someone gets enough reports, review the cases. If there's enough strong reason, dull out punishments. I'm not a tyrant, people are innocent until proven guilty.
I don't expect people to play how I do and how I want. I expect people to play with common sense and a desire to win in a competitive setting.
-If you go to a casino, I expect you to go there with an intent to win.
-If you play a came of Magic: The Gathering's Commander Format with me, I expect you to sit down and play to win.
-If you play a ranked game, I expect you to play with the goal of winning and improving.
Ya know... Common sense.
And, yes, you are correct! The first EVER time I've heard ANYONE complain about people straight up griefing is a forum post because in my games I report them and move on. I've also been lucky enough to not get a griefing Rocket in my games.
If you load up a competitive PvP game and you are not putting in 100% effort, you are either actively doing something such as a challenge or working toward an achievement...
... or you are throwing and deserve to be punished. Banned? Not exactly, unless you're a repeat offender. Maybe a forced number of games against bots. If you wanna meme, get in a 6-stack with like-minded people or play against bots.
Or put yourself in the shoes of the healer, and see the struggle we have to go through.
Also cute, saying the same garbage as Timthetatman lmao
ENJOY THE FLARKING AMPLIFIER.
I am a healer main. I main Mantis and Loki.
One of them literally MUST attack at all times to be useful, while the other needs to hit his teammates.
Rocket is like Mantis. You yeet your orbs out and attack during some of your downtime. There is very little excuse to not actively attack on Rocket.
