Complaining about someone's K/D on a losing team is like bragging about wiping your ass after crapping your pants
The problem was not a couple of deaths. Likewise bragging about your kills on a losing team means you're an idiot.

Sadly game doesn't track objective impact, but kda instead...
"Look my Wanda has 30 kills and your Groot only has 10!"

But Groot was on the objective 100% of the time and Wanda can't even spell it.
Also, ♥♥♥♥ everyone who plays flying units that never even approach the objective.
This is why I wish game tracked objective time too. Tanks would get more chances to be counted into MVP alongside healers.

Objective is tracked, just if your team runs ahead of the objective and you stay on it, it doesn't add up as much.

It should, as you capture everything faster more people stay at objective.

I think they mean instead of kills and deaths put "kills and deaths ON OBJECTIVE" and "time on objective" as the main stats with total K/D buried somewhere else since it doesn't actually matter.

Ironically the only people I tend to see doing this tend to be amongst the lowest killers in the match, highest kills despite playing a high-damage character. Mostly spiderman. Its amazing how many bad spiderman players there are who think everyone else is why they're doing bad.
I had a 10/11 k/d recently and had two guys throwing a fit about it. We were pushing and one was a Penny and the other was a Storm and even though they died less they were useless. Every time we moved the objective it was because I was putting constant pressure on their healers while having to run back to protect ours. I was constantly dead but as a result they were in constant disarray.

We lost in OT 1 foot from the point and those tards were patting themselves on the back for their KD. In a situation like that KD had no bearing on the quality of their contribution.
sounds liek a skill issue to me
Do wish the stat screen was more in depth. It's not bad as is, but doesn't really emphasize the right impact for different heroes. And as good as adding objective score would be it's not going to say much for your duelists that are always in the air or flanking to attack strategists.

I imagine it does if you're kinda dumb and bad at this game

That's why kills which directly affect objective control would count. Your starlord kills enemy at objective? they get points. They kill someone who's not even close to objective? no points. That would encourage actual objective-based gameplay, instead of chasing even after getting control of objective

I mean there are heroes who are MEANT to be off the objective a lot. Star Lord, Wanda, Iron Man, and Storm are all kinda "not on the objective" characters. Just like there are attack and defense characters. Defending an area? Penny is amazing. Pushing a cart to the point? Every time someone picks her I assume we're gonna lose.

Why would I want my Spiderman to get no credit if he makes good use of his time to get to enemy spawn and intercept one or two of them there? How do you factor in someone denying a Psylocke trying to flank your strategists?

KD isn't great but you can get a better idea of impact from it then someone just standing behind convoy but not effecting the match much otherwise.

Exactly my meaning. But even within the classes themselves, you can't get a real good idea of impacts compared to others. Magneto and Captain America both block damage, but Magneto can protect a larger area than Cap. So unless he's inept as ♥♥♥♥, is going to get a higher number.
