Bot teammates in VS AI too?!

The bot teammates are poor team players, the bot healers don't heal unless you're critical or ping for healing (they don't proactively heal), the bot Groot walls you off on point and gets you killed, stuff like that.
People are just using Practice vs AI as a way to complete challenges so I know the majority of players don't care, but for the love of Loki give us an opt-out for bot teammates! It ruins the fun of the mode so much, I just leave every time there's bots on my team.

You can tell they're bots because:
1) They have the default player icon and name plate.
2) They are under level 10.
3) They select a hero and only confirm it at EXACTLY 0 seconds left on the timer.

They're bad teammates and they're bad for the fun of the mode. It's only increasing my queue times because it keeps throwing me into bot games instead of letting me wait for an actual team.

Honestly, I don't see anything that would point to bots.
Low-level players behave exactly like that. And some of the higher-level ones continue to behave like that. Especially those who think that they are DDs playing as healers.
Bots perform their roles.
Or maybe you're right, I can't prove or disprove it.

You never get bots in team unless its some player-made bannable thing. You can only get full team of bots as enemies in Quick Match and that is a thing people complain about
(not me... free win is a free win).

More things that bots do:
1) Have private profiles (you can't view their profile by looking at them in recent players)
2) Constantly attacking, spraying, moving, and pinging in spawn before game. They all move in similar patters and will attack each other as if interacting with people.
3) Their sprays are usually the fancy-looking ones you wouldn't expect a new account to have.
4) They'll ping "Attack here!" "Need healing!" but they'll never use "Hello" or "Thanks" or the other pings you have to bind.

These are always present with the bots, and while many behaviors on their own are definitely normal player behavior it's obvious to me they're bots after playing with them and seeing their patterns. I'm level 69 and it's all in VS AI, so I'm well familiar with new players and the bots are an easy pick-out for me.

You just described our behavior with friends :D

I work in one phone app and we have bots in the game. There is no point in adding suspicion to players by making profiles private - IMHO. At least we don't do that.
But maybe you are right, but it feels like bots should play much better than how some players play sometimes.

But maybe you are right, but it feels like bots should play much better than how some players play sometimes.

I completely see how these behavior sounds like normal goofing around, but the bots do it in a very specific and repetitive way. They don't use their other abilities, just their primary attack in spawn, they will path around the same areas and move in straight lines behind each other when leaving spawn in a very mechanical way.
There's a lot of behaviors that are persistent and not like how people play, and it's always found together with the other signs I mentioned.

I'm fine with players being bad at the game, I just don't want to deal with BOTS that are bad at the game. That's not why I play.

I second this, I actually don't know if those who ping and fight in the beginning are bots made by the game developers or its those who farm lvl 10 to sell the account, prior to last week, I regularly witnessed 2-3 farm bots who basically pick tanks and stay AFK at the spawn, some time after they evolved and started to run into the walls, last time I've seen those, they even exited the spawn area, I guess they updated it so the system doesn't ban their account, but others were people, now almost all my practice vs ai consists of that crap in the beginning and it's always thor and magik in the game, and almost every time the healers are rocket and warlock

so weird tbh, when I realized that now almost every time you get bots there, it started to feel like that meme dead internet theory

p.s. ofc I highly doubt that those farmers made some AI type level bots to farm lvl 10 accounts, so I think the developers added it in the recent updates, bc I don't remember such crap in the past

i think i encountered that while i was doing quests. Recognized bot teammates by checking profile having restricted access instead limited access. I had Groot moving around like bot while i was Rocket doing assists quest and yeah restricted profile access after checking the groot.

what about bot team mates that just spawn in the starting room
walk one step forward every 2 seconds and hit a wall, which then prevents them to do ANYTHING ELSE
bot team mates have score 0 0 0, cause you to loose even against AI in practice.

I have never done anything that would be considered negative or reportable, yet I get thrown into bot team mates every 3rd game

I've bought skinns, I have bought battle pass, I behave well, ... yet I get fcked in my ass with this. I planned to relax playing this game for many many everning, but I can only tolerate a good game to do this to my ass for so long. Now I am at the verge of deciding if I continue to play or if I uninstall.

yeah and the most funniest thing that there also bots in quick play a PVP gameplay mode, entire enemy team + 2 of ur teammates are BOTS

Nah, some people think it's cool and make them pro if they don't insta lock character, especially DPS one. Some people go to toilet and are just late for the game.

Play on higher difficulties, I guess easy is flooded with AKF bots that farm XP.
