Because Tanks are largely dependent on their team to ensure they don't get instantly melted and Gold and below are full of supports who will try to solo DPS the entire enemy team rather than provide heals, it's a thankless role

Usually the good players play tank but as it stands, we'd rather DPS 'cause there's a 99% chance your DPS are going to be useless and can do it better. Would happily tank every game if people could kill something in a game that's so easy to kill.. I don't think that's ever going to happen though.

Its a tough role with added reaponsibilities and expectations. Many players are not ready for the Vanguard experience.

Tanks heavily rely on their teams, both healers to keep them alive and dps to actually kill stuff. Doesn't help that most of their Ults are underpowered and easily countered.

They're still a pretty vital part of every comp though because someone's gotta be able to pressure the enemy team and be able to hold the point, but it's the most depressing job to have when your team doesn't help at all.

Role queue for solo queuers honestly can't come fast enough with how much low ranks would rather throw than play a good team composition. Role Queue would even fix the boring 3 healer meta where people just trade healer ults until the game ends.

You have the explanation already but if it feels exhausting try going Venom and yolo solo dive into enemy squishies, keep your swing ready for a quick disengage when things get heated. Rinse & repeat, great fun.

I see people saying its always the healers fault, it mostly is, but if you realize you have good supports and don't swap to help the team, you're the problem. I'm dropping 30k healing a game while using my util pretty well I would say, trying to cook my supp ult for defense or counter. You can say I'm wrong, but honestly you DPS mains need to learn how to actually play the game. of course no actual shade, I'm just tired of the drunk dads on my team blaming me cause they won't get heals.

Tank is not a great role to play unless you are in a premade team. Public teams often will not push up with you at the right time or they will charge ahead in front of you and feed. They also don't tend to communicate their issues properly, such as pinging the enemy that just snuck into the backline instead of taking a 1v1 fight and losing.
Sure you can adapt your playstyle to make you less reliant on your team, but at that point it's probably better to just play a DPS character.

Most people are also too stupid to understand just how fast every tank except Peni actually kills or that in general this is a Smite-like designed "everyone does high damage" game

There's next to no variety in vanguards and its the worst balanced category in the game, with the least number of actually viable picks in higher-level play
