Vsync - GPU - Temps - Nothing matters?
First of all, I must say that I am paranoid about the temperatures of the GPU (NVIDIA RTX 3080) and CPU (INTEL CORE i7 13700KF). I emphasize this because for me (to play comfortably) I like to play with the components at the lowest temperature I can, sacrificing the quality of the game if necessary.

The point is that these past days I have been playing with FPS limited to 120, all graphics options at minimum except texture quality (High) and Nvidia DLSS anti-aliasing (or whatever it's called) at 39ºC on my GPU, 31ºC on my CPU. Fine (for me).

Today I started playing with the FPS at 144, and I realized that there was screen tearing, so I had to activate Vsync to solve it. Only the fact of turn on/off Vsync raised the temperature a few degrees.

Right now I'm at the point where it doesn't matter what configuration I use (Vsync ON/OFF and FPS limited to 144/120) the temperature is at 50ºC-55ºC, without having touched more than those options, tried restarting the game, and nothing changes.

So, with all that info, my questions are:

- Why VSYNC on/off affects the GPU temperature?
- How can I "fix" it to go back to my comfy 39ºC on my GPU with 120 FPS Vsync off.

As I already said, I have not done anything other than try other configurations with more FPS and Vsync, I have not changed anything, I have everything updated, I do not suffer problems with crashes, lag, freezes, black screens... it just seems that the configuration as It was is now irreversible. And I also tried restoring the default configuration and changing it to my liking; but it still has no effect.

better watch out your gpu might explode due to those scorching temps :er_sweat: nah but your gpu can easily handle 80 so i wouldnt worry about 55 lol

You're totally right, I shouldn't worry. But is not because of the temperatures, but the reason that is keeping them at X point no matters what I changed.

And I fixed it, btw, it was the LOW LATENCY NVIDIA REFLEX option, if it's off, temperature will increase (if you have an NVIDIA GPU), if it's ON, temperature will decrease, a little bit.
