FPS drop and Stuttering

3070 ti FE updated drivers, uninstalled, reinstalled, updated bios, switched to SSD, checked all available updates, switched to low settings, messed with all the available Anti-aliasing options, and STILL i cannot even play the game due to nonstop stuttering and fps drops. i'll be running up to 165 fps and a sudden drop to like 11 to 20, it freezes the game and makes it unplayable WHY

Is the SSD on which the game is located ALSO the same SSD that houses your operating system?

Booted it up for the first time after getting rave reviews on it from my co-workers. Was extremely disappointed in the performance. Must be a PC vs Console client issue is my only guess.

it happned to me after the winter update which started the random stutters. didn't find what causes it yet

cap your FPS at 60 to see if it help or not
if fix it then you can increase the cap

I upgraded to windows 11 and it fixed it for me if anyone's wondering

Same here. I noticed it's using much more RAM now which points towards a memory leak. According to Task Manager its constantly running full. Ill upgrade from 16 to 32 this weekend and see if something changes.

I'm convinced it's something on their end.
I ran the in-game network diagnostic tool in the settings menu, and the first two numbers I get are usually below 50ms. It's usually the third number (going from the ISP to the game server) that's in the range of 80-110ms. That tells me everything on my end is running smoothly.
I get into a match and my game is pinging at least 150ms. Not only that, but as I'm moving it feels like I'm jittering around, snapping back between where I'm going and where I was a moment ago. It's not nearly as smooth as it was a month ago.
If it's not because of the game, then it might be on Windows, like one of the updates or some kind of incompatibility. I have nothing else to go off of, other than the fact that other people have been feeling something similar.

I didn't get any windows update in the timeframe where the lags and fps drops started happening. As i said above, i noticed that playing Rivals since the patch it's using much more RAM while the CPU and GPU (Ryzen 7 5800x and RTX 3060 in my case) are on the same levels.

It must be a massive memory leak, thats why im going to put an additional 16gb RAM in my PC to see if it has any effect. If it's not that, then it could be theorized it's Windows related, but i doubt that. Played with a friend the other day that has a weaker CPU, but the same GPU, but running 64gb RAM and he was smooth throughout the whole round, while i had massive lags

Could be your CPU. MR is very CPU-Heavy, even on low graphics. I just upgraded my CPU to a Core i7 4790K and it runs great now.
