Prolly gets stale long term but it's a limited event, so whatever.
If I wanted to play a 3v3 sports game where my teammates have no coordination or brains, I would go back to Rocket League.
As much as a broken neck.
The worst part is your teammates. I swear they managed to make the bots even more dumb than the regular quickplay ones.
biggest thing is just learning how each character works in the mode, star lord is best for defense to protect the ball handler or stop it from being passed over your head (also he gets to fly with the ball which is honestly busted sometimes)
iron fist is just generally good all around and is the best bully since he can store up to 3 kicks to knock the ball out of someone's hand, also probably the best for running away with it if he gets a lead (grab ball > throw > kick > grab > throw > kick > use double jumps after you're out of kicks/near the goal)
and widow can sprint but also has a super strong pass if she isn't pressured fast, it's not flashy but just being able to *run* is a big boon in the mode
they all have their own roles to play, and they're better thought out than I thought at first... I still wouldn't say I LIKE the mode but i won't be surprised when someone ends up saying it was their favorite arcade mode.
