Is there progression in this game??
As title.
So far I like the game, but the lack of progression is making me lose interest. What's the point of playing with your favorite character if at the end of the game I don't feel like I'm gaining anything? I certainly have no intention of paying for skins or battlepasses considering the prohibitive prices

You get a prestige character profile picture (icon) if you get maximum proficiency and you gain fun for playing I guess?
check mastery progression
you could just play for fun...?

this isnt call of duty sir
The entire point to pvp is to see how you fare against other humans.

If you only care about some pixel progression, then there are an unlimited number of single player and coop pve games out there.

i dont even like call of duty, and yeah i dont want sound silly but it seems like they've gone out of their way to make the experience as much casual as possible.
Play a game, win or lose, it doesn't make any difference...

the game is about having fun if you want progression you can try to get into the top500.
There is no shallow made up progression to satisfy ppl

You're gaining the fun time you had during the match? The tiktok millenial brain is so cooked they can't get any dopamine unless they see some number increasing with a fancy level up screen full of special effects

The hero progression definitely needs more levels, many players have maxed it already.
what are you expecting a paycheck? its a game if your not playing it for fun stop playing. sure i understand that loads of other types of games have some linear progression but competitive games need a base line thats the same for everyone.

Um what? This so far has been one of the better releases of battle passes. You can go back and finish them and get your items you paid for. You know unlike the other games where you lose the items you paid for in the battle pass if you don't finish it in time.

Those companies who let you pay for the battle pass then took the items away because you didn't finish some arbitrary quest in time should be sued for the items returned IMO.

I mean.. You could always pick up some MMO or gacha game if in-game progression is your thing. Just hold on to your wallet when the Big Numba start poppin' and you'll be craving for more :stress:

Gameplay in MR is really good and that's what's keeping people in. It's simply a lot of fun. The lack of progression emphasis works in MR's favor I'd think, since the barrier of entry is low. There's essentially nothing to gain or work towards except the chaotic bloodbath of the fight itself which is great. Lock n' load, hop in and start annihilating moving things.

Also need to keep in mind that the game is quite new. They'll add stuff gradually.

Edit: Oh, you could progress towards One Above All, so there is that.

the battle passes are like 5 dollars. . .
this game has the same progression as any game with a Battle pass, little to none. Achievement hunt if you have to, and there are some skins along the way.

1. Mastery progression with your favorite character
2. Progression of your own skill, you grow as a player and improve at piloting your favorite character
3. Ranked progression, you can get higher rank as a proof of your game knowledge and experience
4. In-game achievements and quests, they can make your experience more feel more rewarding, and also let you get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from time to time.
5. If all that isn't enough, you can also buy battlepass and get even more rewards and progression

What else do you need?
