isen't a bit strange for such a big multyplayer game?
If you only care about some pixel progression, then there are an unlimited number of single player and coop pve games out there.
i dont even like call of duty, and yeah i dont want sound silly but it seems like they've gone out of their way to make the experience as much casual as possible.
Play a game, win or lose, it doesn't make any difference...
There is no shallow made up progression to satisfy ppl
Those companies who let you pay for the battle pass then took the items away because you didn't finish some arbitrary quest in time should be sued for the items returned IMO.
Gameplay in MR is really good and that's what's keeping people in. It's simply a lot of fun. The lack of progression emphasis works in MR's favor I'd think, since the barrier of entry is low. There's essentially nothing to gain or work towards except the chaotic bloodbath of the fight itself which is great. Lock n' load, hop in and start annihilating moving things.
Also need to keep in mind that the game is quite new. They'll add stuff gradually.
Edit: Oh, you could progress towards One Above All, so there is that.
this game has the same progression as any game with a Battle pass, little to none. Achievement hunt if you have to, and there are some skins along the way.
2. Progression of your own skill, you grow as a player and improve at piloting your favorite character
3. Ranked progression, you can get higher rank as a proof of your game knowledge and experience
4. In-game achievements and quests, they can make your experience more feel more rewarding, and also let you get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from time to time.
5. If all that isn't enough, you can also buy battlepass and get even more rewards and progression
What else do you need?
