How do you counter punisher's turret?
A lot of trying different heroes and different abilities have not had any good effect. I tried googling but the results are useless and unrelated. It has incredibly low cooldown and high health and insane damage output and outside of using an ult on it I've not found any reliable way to get rid of it. Any wisdoms someone can share?

It is actually very easy to outplay depending on the situation.

First of all the turret is shooting slow projectiles so if you keep moving it's pretty easy to avoid those bullets. On top of that if you ping it to your teammates you can just focus fire it and it will explode in a second. It have a 600 hp pool so it's not too bad. Furthermore if you manage to get behind it you can just assassinate the Punisher without have to deal with the turret. Lastly, try to either fly up or get as low as you can. He cannot aim too high or too low.

-- Walk away from where he does pew-pew-pew
-- Flank him using side routes
-- Go into melee behind him
-- ???
-- Profit!
Walk up behind him and kill him or just have more than one person down the turret.
More often than not I find that enemy punishers have teammates defend their position, making sneaking up not possible (example, a chokepoint where the covergence device has to go through) What do you do in that situation? Wait for Ult? Is there any hero or ability that can deal particularly well with it? I've noticed he seems immune to most CC while using it.

As long as you get SOME kind of cover to peek out from, you can quite possibly take it out without even risking being in its line of fire -- its hitbox up front is pretty sizable so it's easy to clip from around a corner.

Squirrel Girl can also be very useful here if we're talking urban combat. She's got a bankable projectile with AoE splash, so it's possible to lob shots over him altogether, bank it off something behind him, and 3-shot him off the turret.
Shoot him and dodge.
That's literally it, he's stationary and shooting projectiles with travel time.

Well, if you absolutely have no chance to destroy it, then bait it out. He only have 200 ammo and once he runs out the Turret will be destroyed.
Dr Strange -> Open Portal on his back -> Nuke.

Mantis takes him out easily with left click even head to head.
It's the only point where I spam walls as much as possible on Groot. They don't don't last too much, but if it helps keep me and my team alive during his turret it at least doesn't their purpose.

Getting behind him and attack him directly is usually the better option. Have someone flank him while you and members of your team distract him.

He's not mobile at least, you might be able to peak out of his view and hit the side of the turret perhaps. Just be careful if you do this, he deals damage fast and your not moving much when you do this so you're going to be an easy target for his team if they notice.

Oh damn I didn't even consider squirrel girl. Grenades launchers taking out turrets since 2007. Plus her jump making her hard to hit. Why didn't i think of that, I'm a damn TF2 player :steamfacepalm: fml
Storm ult. Kills the turret, slows Punisher, and wipes him and everyone around him in seconds if any healers around him do not have their ults ready. You just gotta have an exit strategy to survive once your ult timer runs out. Also remember that your ult cannot traverse upwards, so if the turret is above ground level, you have to somehow get up there without dying first.

As someone who plays a lot of Namor it's always fun when a Punisher throws down a turret. It gives me something big and stationary to chuck tridents at from across the map.

Yes, just pick a top tier, fill your entire meter, then walk through the entire enemy team and hope they don't shoot you TWICE
If you're going to counter him with an ult Loki can just teleport to him instantly and use any high damage ult, Psylocke can stealth walk in, Groot can stun him, Iron Man just 1 shots him from half the map away, etc
This is the worst rec in thread
