Saving for surgery is fine, is this surgery cosmetic or life threatening (you don't have to answer, keep to yourself). Like if you got in an accident and needed surgery they probably doing the surgery then not sending you home telling you to save up and come back later. If your working I assume your not critically injured. Makes me think it's more cosmetic and definitely not on the life threatening end.
