Marvel Rivals freeze my pc after Season 1 Update
Hi guys! I'm sorry for my bad english, i'm italian and i try to ask for help wherever i can.
After the update that came out with the release of the Season 1 i can't play Marvel Rivals.

I will try to order all the things i tried until now and, in the end, did not work for me at least.

First thing, about the problem itself: basically, when i play MR or i end a game my two monitors go pinch black. The fans of my GPU (AMD RX 7800 XT) spin like crazy, but my PC just do not hard reset. It keeps this state until i reboot it and when i do my desktop is completely messed up. And my "mess up" i mean that AMD software do not open, saying that its version is newer than the GPU installed. After that i clean everything with DDU, reinstall AMD Adrenaline and the driver for my GPU. It works like charm, i'm back at it and happens again and again and again. I probably did this loop like 10 times.

Before everything: i did not check if Windows Update had some updates to do before that because everything was already updated, and there are not other updates to do rn. No updates so the freeze comes completely random. Also the GPU Driver was updated to the latest release (always installed with a clean installation).

I tried with compatibility mode in windows 8 but nothing, UE crashes (so a different problem that do not repeat if i uncheck the compatibility mode) after i click Launch in the client or when MR is elaborating the shaders.

I tried to repair the game, disable optimization in full screen and execute it with admin privilege. Nothing, same freeze and again in the loop.

I tried also with the GPU not overclocked (which is not the problem here, other games runs smootly, only MR behave like this) and with the CPU with the ratio reduced (I have a I5 13600KF, from x51 i downgraded it to x49) and still nothing works.

I do not know what else i can try, i really do not want to downgrade my GPU settings to the point that i can't distinguish a tree in the map with Groot, but if is the only thing to do i will try it. Obv i can demostrate all of this and i have a video recording about this error, with the screen of the UE crash and a screen about my GPU settings in-game.

Just for the info:
CPU: I5 13600KF
GPU: AMD RX 7800 XT
RAM: 64 GB at 5800 MHz (already tested with memtest86, works like a charm)
GPU Driver: 24.12.1

This is happening to me too, just got a PC with a 7900xt and was so happy to be able to finally play this. Kind of a shame I can't play, but I really don't want to mess up my computer because this issue can seriously damage it. Hopefully devs fix this. Kind of insane
There are a few things that can help tremendously in allowing the game to run on lower end PCs, and they may be some of the reason people are crashing.
Last I checked, Uncapped FPS was causing issues, so cap your fps at whatever you like, just don't leave uncapped.
Set your Antialiasing to TAAU
You can disable shadows, which I'd absolutely recommend.
Turn off lumen reflections or turn off reflections entirely
Global illumination can cause problems (but of gfx settings, it's probably one of the most useful)
I found a tremendous performance boost in playing in Windowed mode, but it does kind of suck to play in unless you're playing Cloak&Dagger or something.
With all gfx on low and in windows I was able to run the game 30-60fps on my i3 13900k/gtx 1650pc, which I ran for about a month before getting a new pc.
There has also been an issue people have had that setting the CPU priority of the game from 0 to 1 fixed crashes for people. I did not have this issue, but it's worked for others.

Are you on latest bios and microcode from Intel? 13/14th gen was affected by Intel's incident with unsafe voltages.

Work fine for me while using obs studio
So guys, i Just resolved this. Thank to everyone that responded.

The problem, in my case, was the PSU cable extentions. I noticed that not only with Marvel Rivals my PC crash, so It was not software issue but hardware. As soon as i switched the cables, no more problems. Hope It helps anyone who struggles with the same problem!
I had a similar problem like yours, for me I was able to resolve my issue after I got to both the game and the launcher properties in the compatibility tab and I apply the "Run This Program as An Administrator" and it resolve my freezing problem.
