Example of why Moon Knights ult is problomatic for supports.

The Invisible woman just gets deleted with no time to react. If I was in the centre with her I would be dead and the team would have no healers.

I have been losing a lot of games just because of this ult alone.

Then once he wipes out the back line you walk back to the fight and he has pretty much generated another ult and will wipe out the back line again.

What's the counter play to this? Because you can't move out of the centre fast enough if you're in it and you never get enough pre warning to run.

Is it up to a Dr Strange to look up with his shield or something to defend his team like an umbrella?

His ult has very low energy requirements. Refer to this thread in reddit:

This is crazy I main C&D and their ulti generates pretty fast and Moon Knight is way faster than that... This is absurd... When they buffed it they needed to increase the energy cost for it because that's mental...

I don't play him, but note that if it was trivially reactable, it would be useless.

The best answer is just not to group up in such a way that it can get more than 1 or 2 people. This is already a good strat if Moon Knight is on the field anyway since he punishes the team for being too close together. You could try using Rocket, who is very hard to hit with it due to his small hitbox + dash to get out, and his beacon can easily revive a single member who gets deleted by it. Jeff is also probably pretty hard to get with it.

They increased the Ult's average dps by nearly +120%

14 projectiles up from 10 (40% increase in projectiles per second)
5m projectile radius up from 4m (56.25% increase in the area each projectile covers)
Those two numbers multiply together when you are looking at how many projectiles hit a given spot (and therefor character) inside his ult. So 1.4*1.5625=2.1875.

It DID need a buff from last season. In S0 MK ult was one of the least threatening in the game. But I think one of the two changes probably would have been enough (maybe still too much). I'd have gone with just the area per projectile, because I suspect raising the number of projectiles makes them start hitting sooner which is another problem.

Actually, Ankhs damage reflect is easiest way to hit Jeff. He can't dodge that splash damage.

Ults are supposed to have counterplay. MK's ult is like if they took Scarlet Witch and removed almost all the charge up. All she has to do is push the button and everyone near her dies. "Don't group up" doesn't cut it.

At least Storm's ult can be countered by Luna or possibly IW/Mantis. MK will kill Luna through her ult now even assuming she has time to react instead of getting gibbed before he can even say "moon".

I agree that don't group isn't really a solution. Powerful ults need set ups to be effective. Scarlet witch is a good example of this. Charging up a ult and getting everyone to look to her then root them with Groot ult. Or using Invisible woman ult so they can't see it coming is fine. To just be a free deletion is no good for the game and people are abusing this to climb ranked.

Even if the team didn't bulk up Moon Knight only has to target the supports, when they fall the tanks fall, then the team dies. MK has free support wipe at no real cost or downside for MK.
