To those who say “it’s just quick play”
It being quick play is not an excuse to purposely ignore criticism from teammates. It’s not an excuse to 5 stack DPS, then throw a tantrum when your supports asks for one of you to switch. It’s not an excuse to be toxic when you’re asked to pull your weight as a teammate, or to be toxic when your teammates are struggling. People need to communicate more and understand Marvel Rivals is a team game. If one person on the team is lagging behind, then the whole unit suffers. And in general, just be nice to your teammates. Especially your tank.

"You're taking the game too seriously if losing upsets you."
Why do you even play. I swear, people like you are mentally challenged.

They decided to stoop to insults instead of having an actual conversation.
Oh yeah that would do the trick

If you want to care about your game, play ranked. Otherwise it's just quick play.
What if I played ranked the way people play QM? Hey - I'm "just having fun", and besides, "It's only a game". Why should I care about what others are doing? I'm playing "My character". Banned? For playing my way? That's how I learned to play in "Practice Mode" so it's what I do here too. Too bad if you don't like my style, right? Since people wouldn't play seriously in QMs I couldn't 'Git Good' before coming here.

You can totally do that. Go for it. I support you having fun.

If you intentionally throw a ranked match though, you are likely to get banned. That does happen.

You'll probably never get out of Bronze though, otherwise.

But throwing a match, rage quitting and ruining everyone else's fun IS my having fun. Why should I be punished for doing it in one style of game play if it is acceptable in another? It's not like there is money involved. Any real prestige. It's just me having my fun in a game. /pout

I mean, I said go for it buddy.

You'll probably get bans though. Nothing I can do about that.

A thought though, you could do that in Quickplay. Since it's just quickplay.

It actually is. Sorry people won't play video games the way you're trying to force them too.

I said this to a guy playing thor and he lost his ♥♥♥♥. I was trying to explain that people in qp are playing new classes or just chilling, he wouldn't have it though.

it is, do whatever you want in a quick play as it's a strictly for fun gamemode.

you guys are kinda sped
Agreed, just because you're playing in quickplay for Marvel Rivals doesn't give you a free pass to be bad. Quickplay isn't some magical zone where suddenly the rules of the game don't apply or where effort is optional. It's still a part of the game where you're meant to play, learn, and improve, not just mess around because you feel like it.

Saying "it's just quickplay" is a lazy excuse for not taking the game seriously, even in a casual setting. Every match, regardless of the mode, contributes to your skill development and the overall experience of everyone involved. If you're not playing properly, you're not just wasting your own time, you're disrespecting the time and effort of your teammates and opponents who are there to enjoy the game and get better at it.

Quickplay is where people often go to practice new characters, strategies, or simply to have fun, but fun doesn't mean you throw all game sense out the window. It's about finding a balance, you can experiment and have fun while still engaging in the basic mechanics of the game. Throwing games, not communicating, or walking into enemy fire on purpose isn't "having fun", it's being inconsiderate.

So, cut the "it's just quickplay" crap. If you're in the game, play it. Even if you're not going all-out competitive, show some respect for the game and the players around you. Otherwise, you're just another reason why some matches feel like a waste of time.
Wonder how this guy got banned so fast?
Damn, the circle jerking is insane in this thread. Most people that play quickplay have never played a hero shooter in their life, if you want to play to win play ranked, don't hop into quickplay and expect every tom ♥♥♥♥ and harry to be a grandmaster because you're going to be crying like a baby in no time.
Better yet, if you care so much about winning play with like skill friends, you're never going to have perfect coordination with randoms.

What a load. The idea that quickplay is some free for all where no one should expect even a basic level of competence is just an excuse for laziness and disrespect. Sure, not everyone is a grandmaster, but that doesn't mean you can't try to play the game as intended. Quickplay isn't just a training ground for noobs, it's for everyone to enjoy the game, learn, and yes, even win sometimes.

If you think the only place you should try to win is in ranked, you're fundamentally misunderstanding what games are about. It's not about being the best, it's about having fun, which includes the satisfaction of playing well. And suggesting that people should only play with friends if they care about winning is just gatekeeping. Not everyone has friends online at all times, and that shouldn't mean they're resigned to playing with people who don't even try.

You're part of the problem when you dismiss any expectation of effort in quickplay. It's not about crying like a baby, it's about expecting some level of engagement from everyone. Even randoms can coordinate if they're not just there to mess around. So quit the elitist attitude and maybe start contributing to a good gaming environment, even in quickplay.
