For DPS players.
If you're playing badly, don't be afraid to switch, the dps players i've gotten that went something like 8/16 yet didn't say a single thing and kept trying the same hero until we lost is so high bro.

If you want people to switch in your games, approach it gracefully rather than being rude. They'll be more likely to switch.
Let me tell you something: those awful players do not visit this board, they will never read anything and will never get better. They simply do not care, even after receiving penalties.

They won't switch because they won't admit they're bad.
One thing i can say about them is, they are very dedicated for being so bad.
I had a hawkeye going 2-16, i mean how can you be bad at using Hawkeye.
If this was in QP then who cares, if it was in ranked them maybe you have some ground to stand on but, switch off a DPS to counter what they have might be a good thing. As in making fights harder than they need to be.

For Bad DPS I tell them to dive, with ironfist or something. It usually works in our favor as they stay alive long enough and grab attention.
Two schools of thought on this.

"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again."

Or.

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
Most think they are the next best video game player.
Im starting to wonder if i should even try this game seems qp and this community are just awful people

I do ask them politely, i'm ignored more often than not.
Check their level...new players...are new and need to learn the game...duh!
Have gotten some dumb comments about me beeing bad in the very first game I played.
And yes I used practice vs. AI to somewhat understand the hero I played.

You can suggest and recommending swapping off. But ultimately each person decides how they want to play the game. Maybe they don't care if they do badly as long as they get to play their favorite character perhaps?

Yeah, they actually did a poll in the overwatch forums. The overwhelming number of users in the forum are tank and supports. Not exactly representative of the DPS population in the game itself.

Anyway, if you see a bad DPS on your team, it's over. Best way to deal with it without pissingoff everyone is to simply play as a healbot (just stay in the back and heal, no aggro plays, no dueling, no point capture, do not evade if you get dived). That by itself is not a enough to sustain a team and it'll end faster.

Or, you can piss off your team and it'll sometimes get them to actually swap. Tell them the game's over and not to cap the point. They'll either go cap the point anyway and die, in which case, you can laugh at him, or they'll swap to something actually useful to prove you wrong.
What i would love is that player that are new do the same thing i did..... go play vs AI first to try out Heros and find the ones who appeal to me and train with them.

What i see is people switching heroes during match and then start to try out the moves the first time. And funny enough they only watch the animation and have 0 idea what the skill actually does because there is no description during game.

To me this is borderline antisocial behavior to ruin the game for others instead of using the training options the game provides.
Make a team if you want to win.

I get you but they could just hold F1 or the console equivalent to see their skills.
