We've all heard this a million times.
If we want to be pedantic, Overwatch is partly a Team Fortress 2 clone, by the same logic.
Doomfist is literally Attikus but without a shield mechanic. Moira is Ambra but with less fun quips (after aeons of people harping on how Ambra was a Mercy ripoff despite Mercy being the TF2 Medic with wings and Ambra... very not that). The hamster is the pengiun (but with better gimmicks). Kiriko has a lot of similarities with Miko. Despite the differences in lore, Echo is Caldarius with a Shang Tsung ultimate bolted on the side etc etc.
Every hero shooter out there is a mish mash of tropes. Picking which characters vaguely resemble another game's roster is a waste of time. Try them all. Pick the ones you enjoy playing as. PLAY.
The UI, Sounds, Game Modes, Character designs, map designs, general pacing, and pretty much everything else is basically the same.
However, Overwatch has been plagued with issues since it first came out that have only gotten worse over time due to extreme mismanagement from Blizzard. Marvel Rivals is in a much healthier state and has generally better design in a number of ways.
A good example would be that Marvel Rivals has a proper scoreboard. I had been saying since day 1 that Overwatch needed one. The reason the scoreboard is needed is that without it, you can't tell if you're doing well, so if things are going badly, everyone simply assumes it's someone else's fault and that causes toxicity. In Rivals, you always get that instant feedback if you're doing poorly which gives you a better indication of when you need to switch characters.
