Rats in the Subway event mission

I have completed some 2 player KO streaks with the listed characters that are mentioned but it hasn't shown as me doing any.
Do all 6 of these 2 player KO streaks have to be completed in one match or do you have to do it in a specific manner?

You need to get a double, 6 times total. Shared across any of those heroes. That's it.

It has to be in the right mode, too.

I got a 15 ko streak in a practice ai match and it didn't give me credit for even a single double ko.

It has to be multiple doubles, not one string of kills.

That's dumb, I hope then never add a mission like this again. It's so stupid.
