I am a firm believer in balance in shooting games. Marvel Rival is anything but balanced. Seeing the same characters getting selected every game shows the how broke some characters are. There should not be a definitive meta. Meta means unbalanced.

Dr Stange is 1 example. His shield can block anything you throw. He can put it away without punishment/cooldown. His portals can't be destroyed. He also hits harder than most DPS characters.

I can break down any other broken character you would like. For balancing not wants/dislikes. Example: I WANT Iron man's flight to be nerfed because flying makes certain characters useless/pointless. But if you nerf his flight, is he even Iron Man?

GM3 season 0. Haven't played this season much. I'm only Gold. I just haven't been having fun. Its not fun playing vs the same characters every game. Strange/Magneto/Luna/Mantis... If you aren't playing vs theses characters then your MMR is low. Or solo queuing.

It always seems with online games, that despite having a range of options, a cookie cutter meta becomes the norm. All characters have potential, with some being well suited for targeting other particular classes, but - still comes down to the overall best being picked.

Strange and mag only have shields going for them, they really aren't very strong otherwise. yes, Luna and mantis are strong, but so is adam and cloak and dagger, and susan.

This sounds like someone is just mad because they can't do whatever they want to shields.

There is room for balance for sure, but after all I think it's quite balanced right now. Strange and Hela still should maybe get some small nerf, but overall I see now more different heroes picked than season 0. Storm is now maybe too strong and Hulk team up should get small nerf too. Also the balancing is a lot easier said than done, but I'm quite happy now games current state. I have seen games way worse imbalanced.

Have you tried shooting his shield? & "Hits harder than dps" Lil bro what are you on about. idk bro maybe play him for a couple of hours, Instead of instalocking hela every game. And see just how Br0kEn he is.

Iron man needs a nerf on his chest laser. And star lord needs to be removed from the game.

Dr. Strange isn't even that strong and didn't even deserve a nerf. He just brings something valuable to the team that tanks tend to have which is a shield. A decent amount of wins at high rank came from his ability to stall the enemy team with portals and that was already taken away in the previous patch. Magneto is also played a lot despite not being able to protect his team as well as a Strange and hit ult sucks against people who understand how it works since you can't really kill even supports without projectiles to charge it.

Its just important to have a tank that can protect the team from not getting immediately destroyed the second they walk into a chokepoint. I feel twice as strong on strategists because if they die the team tends to fall apart very quickly.

Yet he is considered to be strongest tank in the game.

Yes Dr. Strange have that type of shield which makes most tanks jealous and he has no cd on it, like Cap have which is silly if you ask me. He also have very powerful ultimate that is almost guarantee kill if you just manage to land it couple of enemies. Only few heroes have ability to reliably block it. And thats not all, you have portal that can make some serious clutch saves for your team in any situation. He also have nice AoE dark magic ability and nice animation cancel between auto-attack and melee attack or shield. He isn't quite straight Op the way like Hela and Hawkeye was, but there is a reason he is right now 3rd most picked hero (38% rate) after Invis woman and C&D and Luna next behind him.

I forgot, he can also fly, but Magneto cannot, which is again silly if you ask me.

Well I have seen some games in high rank Dr most dmg in his team. He has animation cancel between auto-attack and shield/melee attack and his AoE has potential to hit multiple targets and his potential to insta kill/teamwipe with his ultimate+AoE is strong af.

So he's a very useful character other tanks need to be as good as him not the other way around lmao. Nobody wants to be tanks in a game where they hardly have any impact. The reason a ton of strategists are played is because they are all very good and satisfying. The whole point of a tank is to draw fire not walk in and die to any team that has good aim the second they turn the corner. The game will feel a lot better when everyone is strong rather than playing a bunch of gimped wannabes.

That is exactly tanks job to be vanguard for the team and be on the objective most of the time even if it requires to walk in, but rather not to die. I mean like who else would invade to capturing point if tanks are not? Ofcourse it's not so black and white. There are also tanks that are better diving in backline than just being meatshield.

I'm a tank and healer main myself and that is a bit misjudged to say tanks have no impact. Last time I checked there was on leaderboard list top 13 tank main guy with 116 games and 95 wins as a Hulk and 68 games and 51 wins as Strange. There is also at top 8 Magneto/Strange main guy. So they have impact if you can play them right...

Yes healers have more impact than any other roles in this game, but without tank it's also quite hard to win games or if your Duelist can't do damage it's unwinnable too. I actually enjoy playing tanks much more than healers, but I kind of ended up being healer main too because MOST of the people want to be duelist. I would argue that it's easier to be skilled healer than duelist and tank, thats why maybe some people enjoy being healer when they succeed do it better than duelist or tank.
