People are scared of the label not the actual play style.
I don’t think so, people are not picking him
"B.b.b....bbbuuuuut he doesn't one shot tanks you guyz!"
Time to git gud.
He cant be Vanguard because there is unspoken rule that every Vanguard needs a bigger hitbox. Thats why Magneto is flying and Strange have a huge cloak.
Oh no... heroes have abilities. Wolverine have Healing Factor. The only problem is how fast Reed is getting it... or how slowly Wolverine is getting his because 90sec is tragic.
There are Vanguards, Duelists and Strategists. It's an intentional move by the Rivals team, because they want to get away from a archetypes of Tank, DPS, Heal roles in hero shooters.
Think about what each individual character are accomplishing in context of a match, instead of what their "role" implies. If anything, Captain America already doesn't fit the role archetype, because his game plan differs too much from the usual shield or brawl type of vanguards. I would describe him as persistent flanker, who have enough health and survivability to keep going over and over, not giving a second of a breather to opponents.
The more people learn how to play characters, more fluid team compositions will become and less and less people will relly on 2-2-2, because it will not make sense, based on what each individual character accomplish in the match.
Literally just select him , or whoever else you want for that matter.
Bruisers as a concept has been around since DotA 1. Maybe even earlier than that?
