I had Practice Vs AI selected and it put me in quick match

Confirmed cuz when I came out of quick match and went back to Play, Practice Vs AI was still selected.

I do Practice to get battlepass missions done so I'm not screwing the team just focusing on heroes/playstyles to get those done.

The illusion of choice is all they offer.
It will put you v bots in QM and v players in Vs AI
The only consistent way to play is to go into ranked

It must be a bug or intentional change with a recent update, cuz when I was playing a lot last year I never noticed this happening.

After you make a selection after launch it always remembers last selection, so see OP again.

To make it as clear as possible:

- Chose practice vs ai, queued. got vs ai

- On next match, saw it said practice vs ai, queue, was against human players

- On next match, it still said practive vs ai without me changing anything, this time got vs ai

I mean i haven't seen it too often but i can vouch that i qued on the other servers for fun, and when i qued into the chinese servers on american for fun, it said "match found" then put me in a "VS AI" match where the other accounts seemed to have pretty humanesque names like "bigbrassBawls" and "Mr@!#". like the stuff that'd be censored that players would type in.

I did a double take and checked the before and after, it was listed on 1. Starting Que 2. Loading screen "vs Ai bots" and 3. After que ("vs ai).

No idea if they were actual bots or not but it felt like it. I aim train kinda chill there on bots when i don't want to get screamed at in comp but want to chill and relax and practice aiming vs the practice range downstairs bots.

Then went back to english servers and it never happened again, But there was a screenshot of a person who had a human player on the bot team on reddit once lol.

If you don't want to get yelled at, just disable chat like I do. I main support so the game is way more relaxing when you don't have mouthbreathing bads yelling "HEAL ME JEFF" at you all game. Sure they can spam the emote but that's way less annoying.

in quick play (only) , you get full bot enemi after having 2 defeat. for make un illusion of good game

Since the last update I've seen a few games in Practice vs AI that had Named Bots. They were just as bad as the normal 3star bots but had names like the quick play bots. Has only happened a few times to me but I suspect this is what happened to the OP as well.

I've had this happen quite a few times, it seems to be the quickplay bots queuing into the vs ai lobbies and they do act differently than the vs ai bots. They will always be named so you can tell from the loading screen that you've been queued with QP bots but they won't have a profile to look at and when looking at history it will be tagged as Vs Ai instead of QP. I play in 1 star vs ai lobbies to warm up and get annoying challenges done and when you queue with the QP bots they will act like real people, making plays a QP match would have but a bot match never would. Every time I have those matches we always loose since none of us play sweaty in those matches but almost always we'll get confused on if they were real peeps queued or not. Looking back at the replay, they are deff bots but they do make really human plays that the other bots don't. It's a super annoying bug that I wish I could report because I don't want to sweat in vs ai, I want to get my challenge done in as quick of time as possible.

Sometimes the matchmaking screws up and gives you the bot names intended for Quickplay. They're still bots, just with auto-generated names to give the illusion of real players.
