Marvel Rivals Anti-Cheat [STEAM PERMA BAN]

Hi there, Im not sure if this will be visible at all, but my account was just recently VAC banned. Though im not entirely sure why, the most recent game interaction ive had were through Marvel Rivals.
Of which i was having issues a day ago due to connectivity and graphics card issues.
I joined and left a few lobbies as i tried settings out and tested my connectivity before calling it a night, and ultimately updating my drivers. After a long day of work, I have now logged back in to find my account perma banned as a result im assuming.
This is devastating....ive spent all these years saving and purchasing the games in my library through legitimate means, as my bank account can corroborate...and i cant express how frustrating it is to have it all barred as a result of baseless accusations of pirating. I cant fathom how the anticheat could assume i was cheating, as my aim is absolute buns, and my only issues in the game remain due to connectivity, through no fault of my own.
It really pains me to see my 106 games, many of which i havent touched, and i've been looking forward to playing in the little free time i have because of school be shelved...and the automated support, lack of ways to get help from steam or ANYONE at all is driving me nuts.

I hope this reaches the right person and allows for discussion on more accurate forms of anti-cheat and banning protocols....because this has truly done a number on me already.
I hope for my own sanity these fifteen days of me being banned are put behind me and are found to be baseless....though it pains me to know all my money could be flushed by the end of them as well.....

The automated response bot mentioned running my account to verify the cheating claims. Im assuming by the end of the next 15 days my account will show red if it was ultimately perma banned.

Im still fighting the cheating allegations and will always.
Im not afraid to admit that i suck, that much is clear at any comp game ive played, so literally why would i cheat. never have, and never will. i have ZERO modded games in my steam library...the only times im active is during winter and summer breaks...i have no time for modding or doing any of that stuff.

id love to add photos of my bank purchases, chat evidence, files and whatnot, but steam discussions wont support picture postings like that i think. Just wanted to post this to hopefully fight for my innocence for any soul behind Marvel rivals or Steam.

This game has it's own anticheat and doesn't use VAC anticheat. This is such a weird post. Either someone hacked your account and added the profile picture and description, or you are trolling.

i hear ya, but im just as lost as yall believe it or not.
the chat bot i spoke to was called 'Evelyn#9907 'god knows something....im starting to think someone is trolling me dawg......im so cooked....(T-T)

They had a steam logo prof pic and mentioned being a Steam Community Moderator. Quoting, "You have received VAC Warning for violating Steam terms of use. You are being accused in commiting illegal purchases. You have 24 hours left before being permanently banned. Do you admit in commiting this violation?"

I literally dont know what a ban looks like, so yall speaking more sense than what im seeing.

My email under my account was changed to a Yandex.com or som shi email shortly thereafter, and i just realized they spelt committing wrong...... I mightve been hacked and it just clicked.
B*NER MIGHT BE MY SAVIOR....HOLYYYY... ill keep yall posted, cuz im confused as hell. i was blinded by devastation honestly and i mightve commited a pretty big blunder.

I reported the account as compromised. Nothing about it looks legit, so it's either a really bizarre attempt at some kind of phishing or they think they are funny. Either way Valve will sort it out.

Yeah sounds more like someone hacked your account,
Change your passwords to EVERYTHING e-mail included and run some kind of anti virus on your PC, if you are lucky it might find something.

My man... steam doesn't change your name to vac/banned and change your description. It's a red message to the right of your profile.

I think you got hacked if you didn't change it yourself.

Never thought id get genuine life saving help on a Marvel rivals discussion post. I really saw my life flash before my eyes when i got that weird ass chat on the ban....so it never occurred to me that it could've been bait until y'all pointed out how weird i was for freaking out, when my account was still playable.

I loaded up marvels since one of y'all mentioned it might be just steams end being weird, and as i read the discussion...it finally clicked.....my neurons fired up for once....

i might've posted a major L on main, but the genuine fear of losing my account blinded me from realizing i had given my email verification code voluntarily when i was frantically looked up causes, and presumably pinned it on marvels....hence taking it up to discussion so quickly....since my account being overtaken was happening right before my eyes

I assumed bans were automated and had a level of clearance as the hacker presented it without it clicking that they were literally a sock account fronting for another to overtake my actual account.

It ended up really being a hacker from Russia, as it appeared on my devices tab....I also learned a check VAC status tab under my account exists....which obviously said i was clean after all......
The hacker changed my user, name, and desc, to appear hacked, and wiped the sock from existence im assuming since the chats disappeared thereafter. Though photos helped identify who they were, so im glad i took them when things seemed fishy....wish i had the self awareness to have nipped the suspicion then and there to avoid this whole discussion.

I figured changing my email under my account was a good start for regaining it since my PC was still logged in for the discussions posts. So big thanks to all the replies, since they really helped me while i frantically searched for issues. I Then changed the whole password thing and logged all devices as well.

I switched up my email stuff and made sure to put back ups for verification from now on. Currently changing all my passwords to obscure and 15+ character ones...THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU. Especially B*NERLAND, Roland and Dreadknight for calling out the inconsistencies of the 'banning' so early on.

DUNCE CAP WELL EARNED ON THIS ONE....and security lesson rightfully learned.....but seriously....yall goated <3
