For black widow its useful to cancel out certain animations to give her fast dps.

Ignoring the fact that melee lets you kill a person who is low when you have low ammo, you clearly have never played Dr Strange, Groot or any other character that weaves melee's in between shots.

They are only useless if you are ~10ft+ away from the enemy.

Sounds like a Skill Issue, sounds like you never gotten in close range where a melee strike is better than shooting.

That's because it's not.

The melee attack is like, a limp pool noodle slap.

My ranged attack does more damage.
