Well, you're welcome to believe what you want, but no one has a right to bully anyone off a character. If they are genuinely playing and trying to win (aka not sabotaging the team as mentioned before), then they are welcome to competitive.

And yes, I understand metas can potentially change based on map. It's not particularly relevant since we are talking about off meta picks and "troll picks". Last I checked, Jeff and SW were almost always put on the bottom or near-bottom tier but admittedly, I haven't researched if that has changed since the last balance patch. My point still stands that a Jeff is still welcome to play on maps with no ledges. This arbitrary rule that people must choose meta picks is simply made up.

I never said it was ok to play a hero for the first time in competitive. I actually stated the opposite that the person could have climbed with off-meta picks and making them switch to a "meta" pick that they don't play could harm the team.

This game doesn't have a role q because it wants you to adapt. So adapt. Ranked isn't a gamble, there is consistency and if you are a good player than you will climb

Lack of skill isn’t really what people are being yelled at for. Failure to play their role, work with the team and focus on the objective is. If 5 of us are rolling the same stone up a hill but you’re pushing a different stone up a different hill the problem isn’t that you’re bad at rolling rocks it is that you are in the wrong place doing the wrong thing instead of helping your team.

It's always the solo queuers that get mad too, Mad that they have get bad teammates or people who throw by leaving matches early or griefing...

They don't seem to realize that this is happening due because they made the decision to "solo queue" in the first place. They are in fact the direct cause of it happening entirely lol. Call it consequence for ones actions. If they actually put for a little effort to make new friends and formed their own team then maybe they'd realize that's how you push yourself in order to succeed and win. But they so ignorant and lazy to be bothered to do something that wouldn't dramatically improve the quality of their games and cannot be bothered!

Wanna know a secret too.... That's the actual point of ranked. To do things you wouldn't normally do in order to succeed. To push yourself to do better. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, lol!

Ranked is broken now anyway for anyone solo Q-ing. It is EOMM for matchmaking and you will get 5 bad teams for every 1 good one. It's a total fix.

I unfortunately got curious how a person could have such an absolutely terrible take and looked at your profile. The gross furry stuff aside, you've only played 84 hours and in that time only managed 20 something wins and 7 achieves. Sit down and be quiet. Most people that solo queue do so because they live adult lives and their schedules nor game choices will line up with their friends except rarely and in those cases we usually go hang out in person. Not that the reason should matter. The problem is the matchmaking is terrible.

Cool, and you don't have perfect situational awareness at all times. You don't know everything going on. So while 5 of you are rolling that stone up the hill at yelling at the 6th, he's busy getting ganked at spawn because the team doesn't care.

There's a whole lot of people saying how rank "should" be played. It's funny how all these ideas don't line up with the game's implementation. Why don't you make a 6v6 hero shooter and implement your competitive rules? Then you can ban everyone who does not conform to every idiosyncrasy. I'm sure it will be an absolute banger of a game, going right up there with legends such as Concord.

I can't speak for everyone but that's not why I play ranked. I like to see how I match up against the community. I particularly enjoy that they give percentile ranks as well.
