Doom match is pure garbage

it's supposed to be an ffa mode but it just doesn't work at all in this game since you can do 240 damage to someone and then scarlet witch flies in pokes them for 10 damage and gets all the credit. The one match I played of this was easily the worst 10 minutes in my 80 hours of playing this game

it's alright. I'm a player who mainly plays solo, actually I only play solo but this is a team game so I guess I'll naturally like being in ffa

Its pretty impossible to balance a free for all in hero shooters. Thats one of the reasons OW took like years to even put a TDM style mode in the game. Theyre essentially just mess around warm up type modes. Theyre always going to be all over the place.

Stealing kills in FFA matches has been the norm shooters since the very beginning so it's not a "problem" at all. It's why I pick Jeff when I play that mode... I've played 4 matches and came second the first time, and fist the following 3 rounds...

It's still fun, you just have to play FFA's different then standard matches because you don't have a team to rely on...

It's same garbage as Arcade in Overwatch, which people mostly played to get free loot boxes for 9 wins per week. Frag stealing is an often issue in this mode.

Just play one match to do an event mission by going through 5 portals and forget about it.

They could probably add it that the person who deals more damage gets credit for a kill. But then that would make it even more difficult for characters that aren't built to dishing out high amounts of damage quickly. You'd only see people running characters, mostly DPS playing and nothing else...

Doom was made to just test characters and how you "feel" them, it is not supposed to be an actual match.

Yep. The chars are not balanced for it at all. Hated it too. And they force you to play it with missions too...

Thank God we have alternative missions this season
I did most in quickplay or ranked.

I tried to, but people instapick Squirrel Girl and I have to wait for the 99% loading bug to pass... Had to torture myself to get 50 kills in this mode...

I believe you can have multiple people with the same characters in Doom Match too can't you? Since it's Free 4 All?

You could try "practice vs AI". I did some dailies in season 0 that way, so you don't need to waste too match time for inconvenient missions.

With Squirrel Girl it's not that easy to get double kill, took me a few matches in quickplay.

Yep, that's what I was talking about. SG is the easiest to get double kills from that list.

Chunking down people as Starlord is pretty easy, tho you yourself are pretty easily kill-able if you dont use your cooldowns effectively. Not a game mode i'll play often, just here and there if im bored enough to mess around with it.
