I would love it, though it isn't perfect ban as some ways around it. SK did some of it well using RL identification but that won't ever happen here.

Not at all. It's comically easy to spoof the HWID.

The only thing Vaorant got right is that they curb stomped the free script kiddies you can find on google. It hasn't really stopped paid cheats.

I don't get cheating, doesn't really make sense to me. I just don't want to see this turn into a CSGO doodoo show. If you were going to ban cheaters, what about HWID and IP?

I remember when I used aimbot on cod a hwid spoofer was included with the cheat.

This doesn't always work either as there are ways around a hardware ban. I'm not going into details but just know that those cheaters already know how to do it. The most this would do is ban the script kiddies that used their moms credit card to buy cheats and don't know anything else.

No, that's how you get angry customers.

-- Real cheaters won't get affected by that anyways (VM, fingerprint fudging etc)
-- Normal people will end up their hardware profiles saved who knows where for who knows what purposes with no clear commitments to having those secure (as per usual EULA "in the case of a cockup, nobody is responsible for anything")

No Hardware-id can be spoffed. The best thing ever done was Shadowbans in Battlefield 3. They did not ban detected for some time, they let them play on their own island servers. It was a fest to read with an hacked account cheaters complaining that bf3 had only other cheaters and the paid cheats wher worthless because of it and trying to get theier money back.
