having a larger FOV absolutely affects performance modern games use occlusion and culling to improve performance if you have a larger FOV you are always occluding/culling less assets (this game doesnt do it well, BW scope in performance shows this)
yeah but its not as easy as saying 1st person = good performance 3rd person = bad performance, which is what youre implying.
since i have no idea what "fine" is for you, i dont know what that means.
but i could also say, that its "fine". if fine was that it ranges from 100 to 200 frames per second.
Well today you get to learn all about game engines and how games are complex pieces of code that have to be designed to run on a near infinite combination of hardware and drivers.
This is why one game from one company performs vastly different from a game from another company.
Thats great you get 200fps in Overwatch. This is not Overwatch.
imo the game runs just fine
5700X/3060Ti/32Gb here, on a 165Hz monitor... and I totally can feel you. I also play Overwatch at capped 300 fps without ANY issues. But this game... everything on low except textures on HIGH (because of my 8Gb VRAM GPU), with DLSS on balanced, I can reach +240 fps in lobby during pregame. But during fights, everything feels unconsistant and unsmooth, as if I had 20 fps or something. I don't understand. I tried EVERYTHING.
i710700k, while surely not the hottest or newest sh*t under the stars, it should still be very well suited to run this game at consistent framerates. on tokyo maps that is not the case. on the other maps its mostly fine, but still not optimal.
