Is it "daily" missions really daily? *LOL&

Funny thing that I notice around this new updates is the mission change. The usual routine daily missions has become just another not "daily" missions. Why?

Finishing all missions there yet it gives me cooldown of more than 24 hours for new missions to come *LOL*

Spare my knowledge but could someone please explain to me what exactly is daily quest/mission in-game is actually is?
