Controller issue

This is my first time playing btw. When i connect my controller it tells me that the account is logged in on another device. Is there a way to fix?

Not a controller problem. The error implies the account you're trying to use is already online through another device, as in a computer or a console.

Do you happen to own a steam deck and forgot to shut the game off before you put it to sleep?

What's stopping you from logging in with keyboard then just swapping to controller?

Steam has a recording feature. Use it and show us what's happening

I know it's not what you're asking, but keep in mind that MR does not have cross play for ranked. PC does not have ANY aim assist, unlike consoles. If you try to play with a controller, you will be going up against people in ranked who are using mouse and keyboard which means you will get slaughtered 9 times out of 10. Without any aim assist on your controller, you pretty much cannot hit most of the DPS characters once they start moving.

So today I found out the newest patch lets you launch the game with a controller, meaning you can press A at the launcher and it will launch now, there's a catch though:
When I do this, once I am at the menu if I press A to click on something, it launches another instance of the game which I then have to alt+tab to and force close.

I'm kinda amazed it even let's this happen, but anyway, I wonder if those seeing "you are already logged in" or whatever, if you have more than 1 instance of the game open.

Today I had this happen again and this time it was still doing it by the time I started a match and I had 7 instances of the game open at once.
I had to open Task Manager and select the Launcher exe and close it.

Had the same issue. The game opened twice for me. 1 for my controller and 1 for my mouse. I closed one of the games and it was fixed

I think it is a controller issue. Maybe even using the controller, the game fights between that’d and keyboard & mouse. When using the ladder no error like that occurs, maybe even launching the game use the controller
