Although they added an option that you could pick how it queued, including an option to not care and play together anyway, even though controller had aim assist advantage.
What was funny was that the next thing they asked for was to force people who didn't care into only keyboard/match only matches against their will. Everyone then told them to Screw off when they decided they wanted to force people into that. Don't force them into something they don't give a darn about.
Not really.
No one played Halo Infinite so it's a bad comparison. It's highest player count ever was on release and even then it was only half of what this is right now. And further more it dropped to half of that within 1 week, and within 3 months it only had 5% of it's max playercount.
And if you really wanna break it down we can find out when they implemented that change and look at the size of it's playerbase by then and see how few players were left when they did that.
ALSO allowing Aim Assist in Ranked in any game is stupid and they should have never done that. Paladins sure as ♥♥♥♥ never did.
ALSO ALSO allowing people to pick how they queue just splits the playerbase even further.
It sounds like Halo Infinite made a lot of stupid decisions honestly.
This game has a healthy playerbase, and I doubt many of the PC players are playing with controller, so the PC side of Ranked would not be losing much of it's playerbase by allowing those of us that are on controller to queue with console players. And PC players never have to worry about "controller users dragging the team down"
So, if you get 3 useless console players, the enemy also gets 3 useless console players. (recently had a team where I was the only PC player... not fun.)
You do not get console players on your team in Comp. (but you can have controller users on your team)
Now that they made it so it shows the prompts of the input device someone is using when you are spectating them, you can tell who's on controller because it will show Xbox prompts instead of keyboard prompts for their abilities. Prior to that change you had no way of knowing if someone on your team was using a controller in Ranked.
They need to do this
unless there is aim asist like in apex
