1. As I said before, no other online multiplayer game (especially one with paid cosmetics) allows mods, that is just unheard of. Obviously you can't just mod a skin into the game that would normally be paid, thinking you can is just being plain stupid. If you have issues with the free to play model that's a completely different argument.
2. Modding the game files in any way, textures, models etc, can and will sometimes give players an unfair advantage, so obviously it shouldn't be allowed.
League of legends as far as I know has a decent modded skins community. Unless you’re Korean apparently and they are banned. They just can’t be skins that can be purchased. So like I said, custom skins hurt nobody. Sure there are more games and ways to allow certain skins but I understand a free to play model doesn’t want custom skins to take over.
Your examples are all decade old games without paid cosmetics, as expected you don't have a valid point
I have a valid point, you're just a stupid bootlicker taking things being said out of context to start an argument to defend your corporate overlords.
At the end of the day, they could make it possible. It just was, but there is going to be people using it to get an advantage and they don't want to be losing money to modders. Nothing more, nothing less.
Now I have to wait for an official Spider punk skin even though it was in the beta... Think they will be okay when the first week exceeds 400 million yuan ($54.5 million) on steam; PlayStation 5 follows with over 200 million yuan ($27.2 million), & Xbox Series X|S is estimated at around 20 million yuan ($2.7 million) ..
It's a completely different genre with an entirely different perspective.
Here you can make skins that let you see enemies behind cover or well in advance of when you should be able to. Also headshots are a thing here, meaning you can do like World Of Tanks and make skins that highlight weakpoints and make them easier to see.
Mods should be banned, and if you think otherwise, you either haven't thought about it enough, or you want to cheat. Period.
And this doesn't even get into the fact that mods would let people avoid paying for any skins, which is the game's primary revenue stream. There is absolutely no good or valid argument for mods in the game.
