Gold 1 would be a "standard" drop.
I doubt there's any consistency with the devs so One Above All players probably got treated special just like streamers do.
Anything lower, dropping 4 entire ranks is insane.
There's literally 3 tiers above Diamond that are considered professional level. You're either an idiot or a troll if you think that's not high rank.
GG
It is if you want the game to survive more than a year.
If every 3 months the top players are pushed down into normie levels they are going to destroy teams with ease. That means less players are going to want to play because they'll think they're not good, when in reality they are playing against top tier players that can destroy them because the devs are too lazy to plan proper rank management.
So yeah, it is a big deal because this is how ranked scenes can die.
I'm literally going to rank up for the gear and de-rank just to troll normies now. idgaf, if a game wants to waste my time I'll make it as toxic as possible.
Don't worry, I'll be in bronze-gold after I'm done ranking up, that way I can terrorize all the normies into realizing why this was such a stupid choice for the devs.
Normally I just beat up on 3 star bots, but this will be even easier and much more funny.
The standard is a two tier drop, not 4.
